SHERMAN FILTERBANK PROTOTYPE - #31 of 40 Made

via this auction

"One of just 40 prototype units hand-built by Herman Gillis (aka “Sherman”) in 1996. Excellent condition and full working order.

These original units did not have MIDI.

NOTE: This unit is working well but will be checked internally and tested by our techs. Shipping will be 10 working days from purchase.

According to the Sherman website just 40 of these Belgian beasts were made. No MIDI and the back “panel” is plastic plumbing pipe. No frills – all thrills.

Serial number: 31 – signed on the back by Herman!

In terms of functionality and sound it is obviously closer to the early Filterbank 1.

Very clean with almost no signs of age or use. A small amount of scratching around one screw is all we can see.
220/240v unit. A step-up transformer will be required for use on 110/120v supplies."

This one was spotted and sent in via M Me.

Mint condition, one owner hardly used. Still has original box, and stand, music stand missing.

Probably the best example to be offered up for sale in 10 years.

Good ergonomics, the keyboard is a full-size four octave C-C design. The single speaker is situated to the left of the modern-looking sloping control panel and also underneath .

Roughly, the controls are divided into four sections, which will be dealt with from left to right. First, the sliding Master Volume control and below that a set of five Orchestra tabs, giving Flute 16 foot, Flute 8 foot, Flute 4 foot, and Strings. These are fully polyphonic sounds.

The next section is marked Synth, with two sliders for Glide and Synth Volume above and five tabs below. The tabs are Brass 1, Brass 2 and Piccolo, together with Poly and Vibrato.

"these were sold through practical electronics magazine in the early 1980s
study the photos
the original wood (paper) body of the synth was very weak so i build a solid
wood body
original wood ? side panels and original knobs provided it would be a easy cheap fix to make the synth look better with thinner more pleasing to the eye wood

the volume on/off pot was changed but was cut off a little to short
it works fine a easy replace job i kept it as is

this synth can make some crazy sounds once time is taken to learn
what all the switches and knobs do

clef b30 is a rare made in the uk synth

the clef b30 can do everything the WASP synth can do and a little more"

Moog Memorymoog

via this auction

"Rare mid '80s Memorymoog. The last polyphonic synthesiser to be released by Moog Music before the company was sold to management and renamed Moog Electronics, it's often described as six minimoogs in one. While comparable to other polyphonic synthesisers of the time period, the Memorymoog sets itself apart with 3 audio oscillators per voice and greater preset storage capacity. The VCO's can be set to any combination of pulse (variable width), saw, and triangle waveforms and switched freely over a 4-octave initial range. Each voice also has its own 24 dB/Octave Low Pass VCF. In Mono mode, the Memorymoog functions as a traditional monophonic synthesizer with 1–18 oscillators selectable in unison. Specify any combination of Low, Latest or High Note Priority keying and Single or Multiple Triggering, for impressive degrees of control. A Chord Memory function (for single key, parallel chord "planing" effects) and an Arpeggiator are also included, while an independent LFO with 5 non-mixable waveforms allows simultaneous modulation of each VCO frequency, oscillator pulse width and filter cutoff frequency in any combination. VCO-3 can also be used as a Low or Audio Frequency modulation source. With careful programming, audio frequency modulation using Oscillator 3 can produce convincing pseudo acoustic and FM-like timbres typically not associated with analogue subtractive synthesis. Includes original cover, manual, sound chart and informational pamphlet. Includes Kenton MIDI kit. Completely serviced and calibrated (2 whole days of work!) prior to sale."

Roland Jupiter-8

"Mint one-owner Roland Jupiter-8. The king of analog polysynths. This is a 12-bit version with serial number #141xxx. No MIDI or aftermarket mods. Just like it came from the factory.

Unmolested and original in every way, complete with original printed manual. Cleanest Jupiter you will find anywhere. Was never on the road. Sat in a home studio its entire life.

All functions seem to be working save for the common LFO trigger issue (a quick fix but I’m not going to risk moving her to address it). This is a 37+ year old synth so it deserves a proper calibration by a qualified tech. Sold AS IS. I am not offering returns or refunds/credits for any reason."

Motas-6 synthesizer 50 new patches

Published on Dec 12, 2019 MotasSynth

"Factory bank #4 - 50 new patches for the Motas-6 synthesizer!

This video is a short demo of all the 50 patches in the new factory bank #4. As you can see I've used an Arturia Keystep to play the sounds via MIDI.

The audio is recorded directly from Motas-6 with no external effects.

You can download this new bank of patches for your Motas-6 from the usual place: motas-synth.uk/downloads.html. Of course you can load this bank into any of the 10 banks on your Motas-6, it doesn't have to be into bank #4!

A document explaining the patches in this new bank can be downloaded: motas-synth.uk/documents/Motas-6_PatchBank4_Guide_v1_00.pdf.

More samples from this bank can be also be heard: motas-synth.uk/patchBank4.html"
