Gotharman’s New SpazeDrum Now Available for Pre-Order

Gotharman’s New SpazeDrum featured in previous posts here, is now available for order.

Details via Gotharman's website here.

"Voice Structure

It has 4 analog voices, that each has 4 parts - 16 parts in total. With the 4 parts of each analog voice, it is possible to program 4 variations of the same sound, or even 4 completely different sounds, that will cut each other off, when playing them back.

The Drum Oscillator of each part can be set up to one of four configurations, at a time:

Analog Percussion - A dual analog percussion oscillator and a digital oscillator. The analog percussion oscillator has special parameters like Shape, Buzz and G-Ray feedback. The digital oscillator can run in several modes, like waveform, resonator, percussion oscillator, cymbal oscillator, clap oscillator and sampler. Each oscillator can have most parameters modulated by any modulation source. The analog percussion oscillator can be FM'ed by a percussion noise source and by the digital oscillator. Can produce kicks, snares, analog hihats, toms, claps, noise and much more...

Analog Cymbal - A dual analog percussion oscillator and a digital oscillator. The analog cymbal oscillator has special parameters like Shape, Buzz and G-Ray feedback. The digital oscillator can run in several modes, like waveform, resonator, percussion oscillator, cymbal oscillator, clap oscillator and sampler. Each oscillator can have most parameters modulated by any modulation source. The analog Cymbal oscillator can be FM'ed by a multiple square wave source and by the digital oscillator. Can produce metallic sounds like cymbals and hihats, noises and much more...

Analog Clap - A dual analog percussion oscillator and a digital oscillator. The analog clap oscillator has special parameters like Shape and G-Ray feedback. The digital oscillator can run in several modes, like waveform, resonator, percussion oscillator, cymbal oscillator, clap oscillator and sampler. Each oscillator can have most parameters modulated by any modulation source. The analog Clap oscillator can be modulated by a clap oscillator, to produce the classical clap sound, and it can be FM'ed by a noise source and by the digital oscillator. Can produce hand claps, noises and more...

Will From Humble Audio Explains Their Quad Operator Eurorack FM Module

Published on Apr 13, 2020 Perfect Circuit

"Will Stockwell from Humble Audio came by to give us some background on what inspired the Quad Operator and to show us some of its sound design capabilities. The Quad Operator approaches FM without the constraints of modulation algorithms and lets you freely modulate any of the four operators with another operator or itself. Each of the four operators have variable waveshape and produce all of the traditional analog waveforms. They can also be locked in phase together like a digital FM synth or used in free running mode.

The Quad Operator has a knob per function control layout which is uncommon for FM synths and allows quick changes to the sound. At 8:42 Will goes over the control layout for the four operators and modulation matrix mixer as well as the Algo expander which allows you to store modulation presets and crossfade between them.

Make music never has been so easy, and fun with so pro features.

XYZ Synth is a full synthesizer controlled by motion. Each parameter of the synthesizer can be controlled by x, y and z axes getting you a precise control of the sound and generating incredibles melodies.

XYZ Synth is a new music instrument that allows you create music as never before.

Push Start and activate the synth parameters from controllers pages then move the iPhone, the sound will change depending of the selected parameters. Create melodies with the arpeggiator and progressions with the sequencer.
Start by the first steps tutorial included.

And with a little practice you will control it.

AI007 DIY Quad VCA Eurorack Module Build Guide

Published on Apr 13, 2020 AI Synthesis

via AI Synthesis

"Portland, OR, USA April 10, 2020 –

AI Synthesis has released the AI007 Quad VCA/Mixer in both a built and guaranteed version, as well as in kit and PCB/Panel format. The AI007 Quad VCA Mixer is a compact, high quality, and flexible way to control voltage (audio or cv) in your modular system). Each of the four inputs are DC coupled, allowing the amplitude of CV signals as well as audio rate signals to be voltage controlled. The outputs are also normalled together into a mixer, allowing the AI007 Eurorack Quad VCA Mixer to be used as a voltage controlled mixer. Once a cable is patched into a VCA output that output is removed from the mixer signal, allowing each channel to be used independently, giving users four VCAs in total. A dedicated knob shapes the curve response from Linear to Exponential.

Following the tradition of the other eurorack modules, the AI001 Multiple,AI002 Mixer, and AI003 Looping ADSR, the module has a full video how-to build guide. Unlike some DIY companies that focus solely on providing kits, AI Synthesis has an educational mission and our kits and documentation are aimed at those who have never held a soldering iron. PCBS are professionally manufactured, and all panels are aluminum."
