The only thing I can see on this unit is a small (1/2 inch) area on the corner of the tolex on the removable lid that seems rough. It's barely visible by eye, but I've included a pic for full disclosure"

ARP 2600 Ring Modulator as VCA

"I don't want to flood the channel, but I thought this might be interesting to review. On the ARP 2600 I'm using the Ring Modulator as Voltage Controlled Amplifier (VCA). Normally the Ring Mod is used to get "clang" tones for bells, or to get the 'X-Wing fighter' radio voice. It's also usable as a VCA. In fact it's kind of "super" vca because it is a "4 quadrant" multiplier vs the normal VCA which is a 2 quadrant multiplier (google it ... interesting stuff)."
