"Yamaha CS-80 CS80 analog syntheisizer from the late 70's. It has been professionally refurbished and includes Kenton MIDI, Unison Mod, new CMOS, fresh calibration, PSU rebuilt, etc.

Everything on this synthesizer works perfectly as the video shows. All voices are in tune. All sliders work perfectly without noise or issues. All functions are 100%!!

The Unison Mod works by flipping the sustain switch from I to II. All voices are stacked on the same note in this position. Pressing any other key simultaneously will pull voices from the unison voice. The red button below the tune knob is for MIDI functions. The switch next to it is for switching between MIDI LFO and front panel LFO.

The Kenton MIDI install and Unison Mod were a $3000 USD job. Replacing all CMOS on the KAS and TKC boards is also a very expensive preventative maintenance job. Receipts can be furnished for these repairs..."

#FFS #FebruaryFilterSweep with the Roland SYSTEM 100

video by Robert Saint John

"Even older synths have something to say about the frivolous actions of YouTube and so-called publishing rights holders whose algorithms misinterpret filter sweeps on synthesizers as violating their content. Here's two filter sweeps in one for ya', from the 1975 Roland SYSTEM 100 Synthesizer"

You can find additional #FFS demos in this post.

Yamaha SK-30 | Once upon a life

video by MIDERA

"Yamaha SK-30 through an Eventide Space and Strymon El Capistan.

It's a limited instrument. But I like it. I really enjoy the organ and the monosynth, almost the two best parts of it. Here, the organ is playing along the entire keyboard, so it's played alongside the lead. They just sound so good together.

I thought I wouldn't like this... after reading that all voices in the polysynth engine shared 1 VCF (filter), I was certain this wasn't a keeper. This was something to throw out a week later.

I think I was wrong. It probably won't get into my main rig, but I'll place it meaningfully in my studio as an instrument, like my drums or guitar.

It's got a soul. It helps me write what I'm feeling. And for that, I like it."

[demo] 30 Minutes of Abstract Atmo Eternal Patch (Blofeld)

video by Synthesizer Video Service

"This is a demonstration of a self-playing eternal patch, programmed on a Waldorf Blofeld synthesizer. A lot of modulations were used. There was no external post-processing and no external effects were applied. The arp is playing some notes from time to time but the hands were off the unit and the keyboard.

If you want to get the empty Blofeld patch sheet (PDF), scroll down on this page: https://www.frequture.net/support/sup..."

Sequential Artist Spotlight Interview with SEEB

You can find the interview on Sequential's website here.

"You may know Seeb through their game-changing remix of Mike Posner’s I Took A Pill In Ibiza or their work with the likes of Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Tove Lo, OneRepublic, Bastille and Dagny. They’ve scored billions and billions of streams across all platforms to the point where statistically, 'every other person in the world has heard one of our songs,' explains Seeb’s Simen Eriksrud. All of that noise and mass communication was just chapter one though. Now, they’re taking their signature blend of melancholy and euphoria, dance music with a human sensibility, to the next level and down a more considered and artful path.

Kicking off the new year, Seeb have released their debut album Sad In Scandinavia, out now via EMI. The lead single Run It Up features highly acclaimed artists, K Camp, Tim North and Marty James.

We chatted with Seeb on how they’ve been using Sequential instruments in their music"

"Available now for $15: https://wavparty.com/downloads/sy05-s...

The Wavparty SY0.5 Syncussion sample pack features analog drum and synth sounds from the Michigan Synth Works SY0.5, a modern Eurorack clone of the Pearl Syncussion drum synth from the 70s. The Syncussion became a cult hit with electronic producers thanks to its wide sonic palette and ability to create sonic weirdness. Used prices skyrocketed in 2014 when the Syro gear list revealed that Aphex Twin has 4 of them racked up.

This pack includes some clean sounds and some sounds that have been heavily processed with other Eurorack gear. The pack features 265 one shot sounds, 52 drum loops and an Ableton pack with 12 sample-based instruments."
