"Oberheim OB-8 Synthesizer. Vintage 8 voice polyphonic. Oberheim midi mod installed. Restored by an expert tech. Cosmetically good with wear on the bottom and one rubber foot missing. The wooden end bells are almost perfect. In classic 80s style someone added Dymo labels on the front panel for the page 2 controls."

DinoPark Eurorack - Seven awesome synthesizers in one Eurorack module - now available

video upload by MakePro X

The DinoPark Eurorack module was first announced at SUPERBOOTH 2019. Make Pro is known for their MakeKit EX DSP desktop synth. See the Make Pro label for more.

"German Synthesizer Guru Jörg Schaaf from Radikal Technologies gives an introduction to our brand new DinoPark Eurorack Module. The module is a full voice, polyphonic modelling synthesizer module which adds a wealth of timbres to your Eurorack with seven different synthesizers.

DinoPark is an amazingly flexible, one-of-its-kind DSP-based sound synthesizer module. Utilizing CreamWare’s legendary modelling technology, DinoPark offers seven (7) models across different synthesis methods including subtractive synthesis, wavetable synthesis, FM synthesis and physical modeling. Resulting in a huge variety and spectrum of sounds - infinitely larger than the box is comes in! :)

▬▬▬▬ HISTORY ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

DinoPark is unique in many ways. Its seminal development and beginnings over 20 years ago, forms the foundation for its unique refinement and richness when it comes to combining the best of both worlds in hardware and software synthesis.

It was Frank, founder of MakePro X who was the father of the legendary CreamWare SCOPE platform. Roughly 20 years ago, Frank and his team pushed the envelope and set new and lasting standards in software based synthesis. Truly pioneering technology that was, as many say, way ahead of its time. With their uncompromising approach to quality, CreamWare was not satisfied with host CPUs so they added whole arrays of dedicated SHARC Audio DSP processors which were new and revolutionary at that time. This approach allowed CreamWare to lead the industry in sound, performance and flexibility for years – however, this novel approach also came with a heavy price tag which ultimately took CreamWare out of the competition for less demanding mainstream markets. Today SHARC DSP processors continue to power only the very elite audio equipment in the industry – having evolved in power and price/performance; now offering 10-20 times the performance in comparison to the heyday of the CreamWare SCOPE and NOAH platforms.."

Peter Zinovieff: A Tribute by CatSynth TV

video upload by CatSynth TV

"We look back at the life and work of Peter Zinovieff, who passed away last week at the age of 88. His work at Electronic Music Studios (EMS) was a major influence on musicians of the 1970s and beyond. At EMS, he co-created the well-known and coveted VCS3 and Synthi series. But he was also a composer in his own right, working on pioneering electronic music in the 1960s and returning to active composition in the 2010s with several collaborations with artists in other media and exploring massive sound spatialization.

Additional background music provided via the Arturia Synthi V as a tribute."

RD-8MkII + TR-808 + TR-08 Improvised for 8:08 Minutes

video upload by Honeysmack

"What does a Behringer RD-8 MkII, Roland TR-808 and TR-08 sound like when performed together. What can you do with 3x 808s that you can't do with one? Maybe this video simply highlights that I may have a slight gear problem with the 808, but in a good way? Why do I have multiple 808s? I dunno I’m definitely that idiot!

All 3 drum machines are mixed via a Playdifferently Model1 mixer with effects from Eventide Space and Timefactor pedals. No other sound sources used (Octatrack and Analog Rytm used for sync purposes only, not as an audio source). All improvised in one experimental unrehearsed take.

50 Custom Patches for Moog Grandmother: Bass, Lead, Arp, Pad/Drone, Chords. Sound Demo, No Talking

video upload by Anton Anru

"«Analog Classics» is a collection of 50 patches: 16 Leads, 13 Basses, 13 Arps, 5 Drones, 3 Chords.
It includes famous sounds that are found in many electronic tracks, from vintage to modern, musical solo-timbres and basses that will fit in any instrumental track or performance, like jazz, funk, rock, pop, indie, etc.., and some experimental patches that will add uniqueness to your music - everything vintage synths are loved for plus new possibilities and sound character introduced by Grandmother.

🔊 Get the soundset: https://bit.ly/3x756yg

The soundset is presented in the form of PDF-Document. Each page contains notes that explain how the patch works, what parameters worth tweaking during the playback, how to develop the timbre during a performance. If you make all the settings consciously and try the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn lots of things about the synth and discover its true depth.
Each patch has an audio example, it helps to understand how a patch is supposed to sound.

To recreate these patches you need up 8 patch cords.
You should also install firmware v1.1.3 or higher to have access to all settings used in this soundset.

Big thanks to Dmitry Chemyrev for his great lead and bass presets performance.

Low Frequency Expander // Increase your synths modulation capabilities

video upload by Starsky Carr

"This can give you 3 complex LFOs, additional envelope, sequencer and arpeggiator plus loads of extra functionality. Well worth a look if you've got a Sequential Prophet or OB-6... or any synth with limited modulation. It can work with anything that accepts MIDI CC.

"Audio + Video by G-Storm Electro c. 2021

Today it's the battle of the 8HP filter modules!

Six of 'em, says the squinty-eyed man with no name.

101-VCF, SH2-VCF, JP6-VCF, Delta VCF, Pro VCF, and 4023 VCF.

You know them, but what are some of the sonic differences?

Watch out, some screechy resonance ahead. They're filters after all :D

0:00 Intro

0:40 Bassline sequenced

3:24 Arpeggio sequenced + Reverb + Delay

6:09 Bass Sweeps, various res settings

Details

Osc | 101-VCO square + saw + sub

Buffered Multiple Buffy Bot is used in 1-into-6 config. The buffered osc signal is going to each of the 6 filters.

Envelope | 2xADSR is stack-cabled to the various CV inputs. The CVs are zero'd out until each filter gets dialed up.

Delay | Timefactor
Reverb | Big Sky
