Aside form some very spectacular case modifications, I did not find much in terms of modding the Minilogue, so hey... here we go. In this quick and dirty vid I show some mods only, more on my Minilogue page linked above. What you see and hear is the delay modded for more feedback, an entirely new bandpass filter mode, and some bonkers modification of cross mod and ring mod, where VCO one of one voice can modulate VCO of another voice, so your XM or RM sounds different per note/chord you play!"

"The other day, my Casio RZ-1 came back from service after quite a while. Nevertheless, X-tended in Berlin is the first choice for me when it comes to repair and service of vintage synths! The RZ-1 got a firmware upgrade to version 2.0 and an additional DMX sound set fitted. Now the drum computer runs like clockwork again! However, you should not try to synchronize it as a slave to the DAW. Mr. Casio wants to be the master in the house and is then super tight and funky!

GRP Synthesizer - A2

Let's listen to the GRP Synthesizer A2 - a very versatile analog monosynth with a high-quality sound and a huge number of modulation possibilities - and this is no exaggeration: The frequency of the two oscillators and the filter cutoff each can be influenced by one of 11 different modulation signals.

The two oscillators feature 5 waveforms each, the first VCO offers additional PWM at two waveforms, the second VCO a parameter called "Shape" which fades in nine copies of the selected waveform for super-saw and super-triangle sounds. You get a Ring Mod, Noise, Sample & Hold, two LFOs, arpeggiator and more.

The filter design has a lot of character and is capable of producing formant/vocal-like sounds and a liquid sounding resonance. The great sounding distortion parameter offers many more options for designing sounds.

With its MIDI and CV/Gate inputs this is a synthesizer that fits in all studio or live-environments. It has a good size for jamming and a quality feel - and last but not least, the A2 is proving very popular among our staff - so maybe that means something.

"Looking at my price, you'll probably think: this is a scam. But it is not. The other 2 Expander 80's listed here on Reverb are twice my price and more. My argumentation is simple: I don't believe anyone, whether in his right mind or not, will give those asking prices for this instrument. Yes, it is a rare and rather unique module, but even so.... Anyway, anyone really wanting to give me in excess of € 1500 for this synth is of course very, very welcome.

To the point: this Expander 80 is mint. Not a scratch, not a spot of dust. Of course, fully functional. Comes with it's original power supply, which is already a rare feat."

I had a lot of vintage polyphonic synths (juno 60, polysix, jx3p, prophet 600…) and this one is my favorite (with the p600) Because it has the « modjo » . Impossible to get this sound with a modern analog synth…"
