"Version 1.8 update for the MC-707 GROOVEBOX, MC-101 GROOVEBOX, and VERSELAB MV-1 adds a host of requested features to your instrument. In this video, Zeale walks through the new enhancements for each instrument as well as how to import clips and new Production Packs.
New functions include undo/redo plus clip import, export, and save. Clip compatibility between the MC-707, MC-101, and VERSELAB MV-1 means you can load clips straight from an SD card, then save and share between units or with other MC and VERSELAB users. There are also three brand-new MFX to embellish your sound—Exciter, Phonograph, and JD Multi—as well as support for pitch bend, hold, and other MIDI CC recording options.
Expand your sound and clip library with new MC/MV Production Packs. These top-shelf collections of clips and sample-based tones designed by Wave Alchemy will expand your sound library or jump-start new ideas for songs. Each Production Pack contains 48 custom tones, 50-plus drum one-shots, 16 kits, and 64 clips—with clips organized in groups of four for building 16 custom scenes.
If you’re an MC-707 GROOVEBOX owner, you can now set the key and scale of your project. And there’s a multitrack mode for Pad Note.
If you’re an MC-101 GROOVEBOX owner, you’ll find a game-changing partial editor for creating compelling tones directly from your MC-101. Plus, you can set the key and scale of each of your projects.
If you’re a VERSELAB MV-1 owner, this update includes a powerful random tone designer for quickly creating interesting sounds from a variety of algorithms. The update also adds another much-requested feature: vocal take panning.
And that’s not all. Find more under the hood when you download the Version 1.8 update.

"Ran some synthesizer sequences through the Strymon Starlab Eurorack reverb module to give an idea how it will affect different pieces of gear.
List of Synths:
1. Moog Slim Phatty
2. Dreadbox Nymphes
3. Moog DFAM
4. Sequential Prophet 5
5. Mutable Instruments Plaits Through SEM Filter (LFO for some additional character)
6. Arturia Minibrute
Special thanks to my go-to for most of the sequencing: my Synthstrom Deluge
As usual, No Talking. Usually there's no effects as well buuuuut... the Starlab is an effect. There's no processing or even panning this time around with the only exception being some levels being dropped to prevent clipping. If you hear fluctuations in volume, it's the actual devices doing that based on parameter changes (wherever you see me turning knobs)."
"I watched a video by Hainbach and I felt the sudden urge to start routing a sound through several bandpass filters.
The main sound here is made by Rings (with a lot of modulation coming from - mainly - Pamela's New Workout). I've used one output and routed this in parallel through a few filters.
I added a subtle kickdrum (triggered by the first stage of STEP 8) and some noise-percussion to the sides."
