"Fantastic sounding 80's digital synthesizer / sampler with 8 note polyphony, and analog filter! DSS1's oscillators take their source from sampling, additive synthesis, or even hand-drawn waveforms. Great working condition, includes 2-prong AC power cable, large floppy disc library and cables."

"This synthesizer is in amazing condition, with just a few cosmetic flaws. Insanely clean, looks as if it's a just a few years old, not nearly 40! The previous owner used a small amount of yellow paint to mark settings, not super noticeable. Keys are super white and everything functions as expected. Fully calibrated and tuned for optimal playability.
Includes matching mod grip, original manual and a new Roland branded power supply."

"This 191 system is fully functioning and sounds great! I'll be ultra-critical here in my description, as I know I'd want another seller to be as well.
The unit is missing the back panel on one of the modules (the 112). It has been this way since I purchased it back in 2010. Of course, this doesn't affect functionality in any way, but the back is exposed on this module.. I was going to have a back panel fabricated, but never got around to this. There are metalwork people who can do this online.
There is rack rash on top of the unit as seen in the photos. There's a small nick on one of the wooden sides on the 191 case. The sliders on the 150 module are slightly askew for the Clock Rate and the Lag Time, which can be put back into place -- I just never had the immediate need to correct this aesthetic! They work great.
The system functions beautifully and sounds awesome! It's a real System 100m, so you know what you're getting there. It has the lesser-seen 180 keyboard, which is rare in its own right, as well as the 191 case as opposed to the typical 191J."

CubuSynth VCFA Sound Demo
video upload by CubuSynth Modular
Chapters:
00:00 Filtermodes with Saw wave on Input
01:50 VCA on Input stage
02:45 CV (from LFO) on Cutoff Frequency
03:45 CV on Resonance
04:18 "Ringing" mode with Square LFO on Input
05:02 Quantized 1V/Oct on Freq CV + Melodic Jam
09:30 Stepped CV on Freq CV
11:10 Stepped CV on Input + Audio rate FM
The CubuSynth VCFA is a multimode VCF with LP,HP and BP modes with integrated VCA, CV control over Frequency, Resonance and Volume.
The CV input for the Frequency features 1V/Oct scaling over about 2~3 octaves. So you can even create plucky melodies
with the resonance in "ringing" mode.
The Gain control can reach a nice, soft saturation.
Key features
- 3 simultaneous outputs for Low Pass, Band Pass and High Pass
- Integrated VCA on input stage
- Input saturation on upper Gain levels
- CV control over Volume, Frequency and Resonance
- Frequency CV scalable for 1V/oct signals (stable up to 2-3 octaves)
- 'ringing' appears on upper Resonance levels

Friday Jam - Minifreak and Suzuki Waruku
video upload by sonicstate
"We've not done one of these for a while I know, but since the Suzuki Waruku Digital Koto arrived from ebay, and we had the MINIFreak for review, we took the opportunity to make the unlikely paring.
Waruku going through the trusty Zoom MS-70 CDR and the MINIFreak is just internal FX.
As ever, we hope it inspires you to fire up a couple of synths and just have a jam.
Have a great weekend.
