Testing the new Synthesizers.com Q104 Illumination Controller module

video upload by Morten Beck

Note there's already a Synthesizers.com Q104 MIDI Interface module.

"Testing the new Q104 Illumination Controller module from Synthesizers.com.

The Q104 is a new module in the Power modules range, so like the other power modules, it's not a module that is directly part of the synthesizer, but in this case, it deals with the LED illumination inside your cabinet.

The module comes with a 6-foot self-adhesive LED strip, that you can stick inside the cabinet. The LED strip is long enough to loop around from bottom to top in a 2x22 space wide cabinet.

Disclaimer: I am not a native English speaker, so please ignore any wonky English. And, also, I am not affiliated with Synthesizers.com and neither have I been sponsored or paid by them to make this review.

Korg Introduces a Giant Sized MS-20, the MS-20GS

via KORG: "Introducing the latest addition to the Korg analog synth line-up, The MS-20GS.

We’ve listened to our users, and we know that Korg synth players have different preferences when it comes to the size of the keys on their synth, which is why we offer synths in both mini and full-size versions... But bigger is ALWAYS better 😏, which is why we are proud to announce the new Korg MS-20GS, or GIANT SIZE! We’ve taken the hit Korg MS-20, with its semi-modular analog signal path and 1/4” patch points, and replaced its 37-key full-size keybed with a 12-key GIANT SIZE keybed.

Tweak and patch your favorite most simplistic nursery rhyme & get ready to never leave your room, cause the MS20GS is all you're ever going to need.... and you probably won't be able to fit it through the door! Just remember, it’s the size of the keys 🎹, not how you use them!"

IMPLEXUS Review - Majella Audio

video upload by GEOSynths

"Back in 2020 I had the pleasure of Interviewing the Team behind the IMPLEXUS, which at that time was on Kick Starter. It reached the Goal and was then released, however as we know the World changed a lot during the intervening years with costs, gaining parts and a whole lot of other issues which have impacted Synthesizer Manufacture.

Interview back in 2020

Jasper from Majella Audio reached out to me to see if I would like to Review the IMPLEXUS and I've been lucky to try out the Synth for a couple of weeks.

Like I have done previously with Mono Synth Reviews, I decided to make a complete Track using ONLY the IMPLEXUS for every Sound source, including Drums and Percussion. The process is to make each Drum Sound and Sample into NI Machine to build a Kit, then make each of the other Sounds, like Bass, Sequences and even Pads, then Track them into Logic Pro.

While I have done this before, it really was a pleasure doing it with the IMPLEXUS as the range of tones and texture is much greater than a typical Monosynth and I really enjoyed making the Review.

If you would like to download the Drums and FX Samples. you can join my Patreon where I have uploaded the NI Maschine Project and if not, there are the Samples too. https://www.patreon.com/GEOSynths

If you like the Track, you can hear it on Soundcloud too - https://soundcloud.com/magikroom/impl...
