Katty jamming with her Fluorine
video upload by SPHERICAL SOUND SOCIETY
"Fluorine is portable synthesizer that is powered via USB C type cable and therefore can be powered via a Power Bank. It´s a high definition modern take on a classic 8 bit synthesis called Bytebeat and discovered in 2011 by the encomiable Viznut but brought to the future with a lot of new features.
It runs it in various selectable Bitdepths, not just the classic 8 bits. The higher the Bitdepth, the softer, rounder and higher definition the sound becomes it.
Fluorine also features 2 new ways to calculate the the classic mono Bytebeat synthesis in native stereo that sounds rich, wide and tridimensional.
The sound engine currently has 2 modes. LIQUID and SOLID. It affetcs the character of the output.
Another bit that it adds to the classic bytebeat synthesis is the addition of modular and stackable algorithms that process the mathematics under the hood and a recursive Mode that cycles between this algorithms and that turns it all into a new whole synthesis technique, now called "Recursive HD Bytebeats", that altogeher with the stereo modes and Bitdepth features turns this machine, the Fluorine, in probably most advanced way to explore Bytebeat synthesis as in november of 2023.
Fluorine comes in 3 flavors:
-As a fully assembled unit
-As a full kit that the user has to build
-As a PCB + Programmed microcontroller for advanced builders. The user has to source the rest of the components and build the synth.
There´s a user guide that explains every function, knob and button that you can download here. https://github.com/spherical-sound-so...
And there´s also a build guide for the builders here. https://github.com/spherical-sound-so...

#Jamuary 28th 2024 "lock"
video upload by Captain Credible
"love the synth engine in this little beast, but I still can't overcome the clumsy fumblings of forgetting where everything is that adds an unwanted level of stress to a jam like this. Still, fun times. #jamuary2024 #novationcircuit"
Jamuary: Acid Techno with TB-303 Devilfish + TR-606 + Syntakt + Pulsar23
video upload by Honeysmack
"One of my little hot jams for Jamuary 2024. Acid Techno with TB-303 Devilfish + TR-606 + Syntakt + Pulsar23. Had the Pulsar23 sequenced by the Syntakt, also the audio from the Pulsar23 fed into the Syntakt too. Improvised jam recored in a single take. Audio all through the Playdifferently Model1 mixer and the Elektron Analog Heat (not pictured) on the master bus for that extra little something. Octatrack not in use.

"I'll Have The Kebab, Please!" - Arabic Themed Adventure
video upload by Electronisounds Audio
"This piece came about from the Hardware Jams Facebook Group's pretty epic challenge this week, which was:
'Good night out, just got back from that your favourite music gig. You're in the kebaby drooling over that spit of Donner meat (chicken or falafel options available), contemplating if you're pissed/stupid/both enough to steal that spit of meat/falafel and run it home and a song comes on the radio that stops you. Make that song!'
I used the Ableton Push 3, some samples sourced from Loopcloud, the Erica Synths Perkons drum machine and the Roland TR8s drum machine to create this.
Whatever kind of music you are making - KEEP IT UP, Friends!
Don't stop making *YOUR MUSIC*!!

Minimal Jam: Chance Delay & Entropic Doom - random gates, melodic noise, analogue percussion
video upload by AJH Synth Official
"A minimal jam using 2 Chance Delay modules, triggered by a sequencer clock, with the Entropic Doom to create both percussive and melodic noise-based sounds. Also a simple dual-oscillator analogue bass line using 2 Vintage Transistor Core VCOs and the Transistor Ladder Filter. Turn on Subtitles/Captions for an explanation of what's going on.
The Chance Delay generates randomness with its 'Chance' control, which determines the probability of gates occurring. It also uses its Length control to divide the frequency of the incoming clock signal - this is done by forcing the gate lengths to exceed the interval between clock pulses, and not producing further gates until the current gate cycle has finished. It also has a gate-delay function, and all three of these features can be voltage-controlled.
The Entropic Doom is a noise generator with a built-in, voltage-controlled, low-pass filter. This VCF has 2, 3 and 4-pole modes, and is resonant, producing significant self-oscillation in 4-pole mode, whilst also tracking 1V/Oct. This means it can be used melodically, extending it's usefulness beyond just noise washes or percussion. Additionally, it includes an audio input to add other signals into the pre-filter feedback loop, and it can sync it's noise frequency to an external source. To top it off it also features a CMOS ring modulator and XOR VCA, both of which can be used with or without the rest of the module. This thing can go from subtle and pretty timbres to crushing, mangled, distorted chaos.

The AJH SYNTH Eurorack range consists of high-end modules, all hand-made in the UK, most of which are based on classic, vintage designs, authentically recreating the circuitry of much sought-after analogue instruments and technologies of the past, whilst greatly expanding them, and bringing them to modern Eurorack levels of convenience, limitless flexibility, and reliability. Official website page: https://ajhsynth.com
Check out the AJH Synth playlists for module 'User Guides', and 'Patch of The Week' videos, which will be either performances or 'how to' guides, detailing functions/methods, and a range of sounds, some familiar, some less so, containing a patch sheet at the end to show you how to construct it for yourself.

Endless Woodland
video upload by Uncertain Music Corps
"Created as a response to a question about how the Endless Processor worked with field recordings. Using recordings made in woodlands local to me as the only audio source.
I'm using an (offscreen) touchpad to trigger the sampling on the EP because I found it quicker and simpler than using the on panel button when trying to capture short bursts of birdsong. Around the 4 minute mark I introduce an LFO to control the amplitude of channel 2.
Recorded direct to the camera. The Disting is used to bring the line level audio feed up to modular levels."
