Demystifying Dawesome MYTH: A detailed demo and tutorial

video upload by CatSynth TV

"We are proud to present MYTH, the new flagship instrument from Dawesome! Like all Dawesome instruments, it has a beautiful and unique user interface. It's main elements, the Irises, represent harmonic resynthesized samples (either from the built-in library or your own), which you can that process and modulate in various ways. There is also a flexible system of modules - filters, resonators, effects, modulators - that you can freely mix and match on any of the main signal elements, i.e., the oscillators, filter section, and effects busses. And almost all parameters can be modulated with an extensible set of internal and external modulation sources. The possibilities can be a bit overwhelming, but we'll help you understand all the features, and how to use them.

MJ’s “Man in the Mirror” Minimoog bass

video upload by Anthony Marinelli Music

"Anthony's musical touch as both composer and performer is connected with some of the most influential creative minds over the last 40 years. He’s composed and conducted original orchestral scores for over 80 feature films including Young Guns , Internal Affairs , The Man From Elysian Fields , 15 Minutes and Planes, Trains & Automobiles , been commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic for his symphonic work "In the Family Way", written over one thousand TV commercials in a myriad of musical styles, co-founded Levels Audio Post (LA's premiere post production facility) and performed and arranged on big-box-office films and influential hit records such as Michael Jackson's Thriller .

His extensive work as a young arranger, orchestrator and performer for Quincy Jones , Jack Nitzsche , Lamont Dozier , Arthur Rubenstein and Giorgio Moroder was vital in launching his own career. His early years pioneering modular analog synthesizers along with his wide-ranging music scholarship positioned Anthony at the center of the music technology revolution. He attended the University of Southern California School of Music as a piano and composition major.

"physically in great condition, powers on, seems to drift with some glitchy behavior, will likely need some internal work at some point but basically operates and functions as you would expect. This is an extremely rare item, Dave Smith's first product!"

"Taking 5 Modbap Modular eurorack modules to create massive sounding patches. On Drums we have Trinity delivering 3 huge hitters, with OSIRIS on main lead and bass... a duophonic GOD!! Meridian is on stereo swirling filtering FX duties with CLRS giving the drums some grit, compression and DJ style filtering. And finally we have Per4mer throwing in some moves to keep things bouncing along."

Found some old RM1x projects, this is "Orangetime" from 2007.

video upload by Isobutane

"There were times when my only piece of equipment was the Yamaha RM1x. While going through some old floppy discs I’ve came across some really old tracks from around 2005-2007. I was surprised how playful and full of energy these are. Technically and soundwise they are all pretty funky but I was really stunned by the liveliness of these old projects. So I’m like…yeah let’s share em. Maybe some people will even remember some of these from the past live shows. Shees that was ages ago… Ok, let’s go. 1/7

This was called Orangetime and it was included on my album I'm you but you're still more that came out in 2007 on @4mg_records . Limited edition 100 copies, CD. It's still out there somewhere."
