The Amiga fits into the 16-bit era, the A1200 I'm showing here is arguably 32-bit. This is an interesting era where we couldn't store entire music tracks but could build tracks from short sound samples. This is what I wanted to do today. Due to time constraints and refamiliarisation with the software, my track is a work-in-progress, but I did finish it somewhat using modern tools and that's what you'll see today."

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #134: Sonicware LIVEN Ambient Ø - Song 1

"This is the first lazy afternoon recording with the Sonicware LIVEN Ambient Ø. It is a 10-voice, 4-layer synthesizer focussing on ambient, drones, soundscapes, etc. It shares the same platform than the other LIVEN.

I used for the recording the following FX pedals (FX from the LIVEN Ambient Ø are deactivated): Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe, GFI System Specular Reverb 2.

The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC via USB for recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. On some tracks Compressor and EQ where added in Cubase. The final song was then mastered using iZotope Ozone."

"Low serial number Moog Polymoog 203a which powers up but does not seem to make sound. However, it's in very good physical condition and comes with a hard Anvil flight case and the original metal legs. It gets warm in the power supply area, so guessing replacing that may help the issue. The Anvil flight case has old disintegrating foam inside so it will need to be removed and replaced with new foam. Someone fix it up to it's former glory!"

"Jen SX1000 Vintage Monophonic Synthesiser Synth. Circa 1980 Rare, made In Italy.

The circuitry is original, everything is working as it should - Great condition! The usual minor surface wear as you'd expect from a vintage synth, but in general great example! Grab a bargain, these things are rare and sound amazing. Amazing alternative to the Moog bass - super fat and warm. It's getting harder and harder to find these in good condition! Please view the attached video where I run through the synths features."

Usually working but glitching occasionally. All sections functional but unit freezes occasionally, but keeps playing. No controller (foot pedal or keyboard) included.

Seems to function fine after it's been powered up for a while."
