Despite that it's quite rare, as far as I know, probably because: it sounds REALLY GREAT! I haven't been in the position to do a shoot out, but though there's a lot to be said in favour of the 'Pro, I'd say this one sounds quite a bit phatter. Drum machines just like most drum humans get phatter over time, I guess.
Do your homework before considering this, though; important to know is that it has no MIDI but is synced the way they synced in 1980, AND it is NOT programmable but DOES have oh I don't know around 200? funky, fünky presets, all in 3 variable versions, + you can mute and unmute every innstrument, so you'll probably be good.
