"This is an early Roland Jupiter 8 Serial Number 080646 (547th made I think it means) Recently serviced by KSR. It does have a minor dent near the top vents that could be made good but not in too bad shape its obviously been well gigged in the past but in generally good condition. Im based in Bristol UK can ship internationally and arrange delivery UK. Viewings welcome on all my lots."

Additional SYNTH CITY Listings
Unfortunately this guy took a bit of a tumble during his last airplane adventure, but not to fear! Our techs went through it after the kerfuffle and it's been given a clean bill of health. There are some battle scars from the incident including some bumps on the rack ears. This synth is still a great mega DX7 with a classic unmistakably 80's FM sound."

"Excellent cosmetic and working condition. All buttons and potentiometers work as intended. MIDI is fully functional. Master output and all individual channel outputs work. Program saving works, and I have saved a couple, but I mostly operated this via MIDI.
Has a new memory battery installed, new Panasonic power supply capacitors, and new volume potentiometers so there is no crackle when adjusting. Will also include an extra button/drum pad I purchased as a future spare.
Includes all of the original Sequential EPROMs with factory drum samples, as well as a few custom EPROMs with additional sounds. Also has the latest firmware installed, and will include the original, older firmware should you decide to use it.
Only 3 known faults. First it is missing a button cap, however this is cosmetic and the button is still fully functional. Second is a scratch in the front panel above the Channel 5 buttons. Third is for some reason the metronome output jack doesn’t seem to be working. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong but figured I’d mention it."

"This is a collectors grade example of one of the most iconic synthesizers ever made. Absolutely mint condition and as good as it'll get for such a historic little piece with a huge sound. This was Tom's first go at making a come back and not even owning the rights to his own name yet. This was a very small production and he made sure it was done right. No digital nonsense to get in the way or to go wrong. This will last a few lifetimes like the original SEM's did. This was kept in its original box and essentially unplayed for most of its life so far. The knobs feel great and all the jacks are mint condition. Perfect complement to any modular set up or any poly synth with CV outs that need a strong mono analog complement (most of them dont do mono as well as this can). One of the best mono synths period and factory fresh. Pairs really nice with a Arturia key step or cv sequencer as well."

ETI International 4600 Vintage Semi-Modular Synthesizer

"This is a large semi-modular synthesizer, designed in Australia and released as a kit by Electronics Today International magazine in 1973. The large aluminium panel pivots forward for maintenance. Its 22x22 matrix switchboard, joystick, complex modulation and feature set is reminsicent of a larger EMS VCS3, a comparison enhanced by the use of genuine Cliff "little Dalek" knobs.
The main modules in the 4600 design were repackaged for the (smaller) ETI 3600 and the lightly larger Maplin 5600 kit synthesizers. Its notable features are volts-per-herz VCOS (rather than volts-per-Octave linear VCOs), complex Transient Generators that are like simple three stage sequencers, and a different-sounding VCF.
This is a rare, powerful and unique synthesizer that needs some TLC from a competent builder to unlock its potential.
STORY
In the early 80s before it had been completely built, it suffered damage (the plaster ceiling collapsed on it, because of a shoddy repair job after the previous tenants, a punk gang, had a "demolition party" that destroyed all internal walls). The keyboard was destroyed and there seemed little reason to replace it (the first 4600 keyboard circuitry was problematic and had been replaced by a design from the Fairlight team.) There was some scratches to the case and a lot of dust, though the pots did not seem scratchy.
