"If your looking at this then you know what it is. It is a rare, unique, powerful (SSM), and beautiful sounding analog polyphonic synth. It is in good physical and functional condition. It plays well with a few quirks, but thats how these DK's are.

It has been used sparingly in a pet free, smoke free, climate controlled, adult owned home studio. It comes with the dot matrix printed ORIGINAL INSTRUCTION MANUAL! Which I have never seen anyone else have. Its also labeled as 'Preliminary' which is interesting."

"This mod lets you use an on-board lfo to switch back and forth between the analog filters on the SK-1.

With the switch up, everything functions as normal.
With the switch down, a square wave LFO is used to switch back and forth between the internal sound filters for the melody, creating a neat tremolo effect. LFO rate is set by the knob."

Two Handsome Guys Play a Rare 70s Analog Synth Through a Rare 70s Analog Delay

"This is Tom’s Roland SH-7, repaired after the VCO 2 tube pot failed - this thing has some serious juice. We had the opportunity to run it through Doug’s Klark Teknik DN34, a very rare bucket brigade delay from the 70s that is similar to the Marshall Time Modulator. The stereo version was used by Tangerine Dream, you can hear very similar sounds on their record 'Exit'."

"Welcome to 2025! Ringing in the new year with some litteral ear ringing tunes from the TRS-80 Model 4s. I present 'BadClock' a more edgy tune still made only with 100% grade A TRS-80! (haha)

All sounds are from the Orchestra 90 and S2 MIDI module populated on the MIDI80, piped through common audio gear.

part 1: MIDI80 S2 Drums again from the TRACKER program. Side chained with some compression, distortion and delay to take the chorus drums to the next level! Combined with a sine bassline compressed into a B215 Wide (IR)

part 2: A saw tooth running through the blackfinger, and into an IR 412 Celestion V30 micd w a D57. Some effects were created using the Model 4s noise and screwing with its pitch. Meh

part 3: (live part your watching) Sine coated with compression-distortion-compression chain, fed into an IR 112 micd with a D57 and R121-S

"Another year is gone. 2024 was a pretty good year. I had probably the best birthday with my family I could've asked for. Some of my health concerns have resolved. We adopted two new cats (they're terrors and nothing like the ones I lost in 2023).

I feel there's a lot of uncertainty in my life that was troublesome for 2024 and will go on into 2025 (isn't that true of everyone though?). Things were not perfect, and are not perfect - but I don't think they ever could be. And even if they were - like on my birthday - it doesn't last.

Anyway - here's to a good year. And hopefully to a better year for everyone.

And yes... you can see in the video that I close my eyes. I am tired. I think I fell asleep a few times while playing. Hopefully the music turned out alright.
