"Playing through 38 presets I have made for my Novation Summit... I bought the Summit after a few years with the Novation Peak. And while I have kept the Peak, I hav not used it since. All in all, this used to be my favorite synthesizer. It can be clean, and it can be nasty and everything in between. It is quick to work with, and it has that snappy character if needed.

The best thing about it is likely that it plays well in a context with other instruments - I usually turn it on as a drone or an arpeggio playing while playing piano. It works great. I feel like Nils Frahm or Hania Rani instantly... ;)

Anyway. The Arpeggiator on this thing is the best I ever used...

If you are interesting in getting the patches, please let me know, and we can likely work something out.

Confundo Funkidos: Using BURN for rhythmic fills

One of the greatly expanded features on the new Confundo Funkidos is Burn. The original Confundo Funkitus had a simple button that was all-or-nothing when it came to fills, but we added a CV-controllable potentiometer and added a mute behavior for Burn when we reimagined the Funkidos.

Confundo Funkidos is a rhythm crossfader and mute utility. Patch two pairs of rhythms to the left and right inputs, then use the CV-controllable crossfader and three Curve algorithms to fade between them and combine them in different ways. Each channel has a mute switch which can be used to bring a voice in and out of a patch at will. Tap the Burn button for some instant fills, and your percussion performances will never be the same."

"I open with a little bit of a tribute to a well known song which I will not name.
I mean, um, a pattern of either notes followed by a pattern of 32nd notes.
PHEW.}}}} Almost got a little crazy there!!!

Then I run some lo frequency clicks into the effects units.

I don't have my audio interface with me, so I couldn't do a line recording.
Reface has a USB connection, but it's just for MIDI note and Data backup purposes.
Yamaha deigned not to provide us with Audio over USB, even though it would have cost them pennies to do so.

I intend to do that as I want to show an examination of the Feedback waveforms, and how they're not quite the same as other FM Feedback waveforms.
It certainly doesn't have that instability that the FB-01 has when you solo Operator 4 in feedback mode."
