INSTRUO Seashells Sanctuary

"Disclaimer, I have absolutely no idea what im doing, i just got this today.... plugged it in, connected to my DAW.. set some quantizing and started jamming. I think that the OSC's are not set to the right source, to make it fold and sync (not so much is happening post mid jam) etc etc.. but who cares, it still sounds like heaven.

Some delay and reverb post, as always... this is not a demo.

Cheers."

Celebrating International Synthesizer Day at SynthTemple

video upload by Luke Million

"What better way to celebrate International Synthesizer Day than surrounding yourself with the most iconic synths ever made in a giant studio?!

Recently I visited SynthTemple to familiarise myself with what is possible in this amazing sonic playground.

I thought it would be fun to recreate The Chase by Giorgio Moroder and in particular to learn how to use the Roland System 700.

A lot of fun was had and although I didn’t get through the whole track, I learnt so much about SynthTemple and I can’t wait to return to work on new music.

Equipment used;

Oberheim DMX, Roland System 700, Yamaha SPX-900, Solina String Synthesizer, Roland SPV-355, Oberheim Eight Voice, Roland System 100 & Yamaha CS-80

Check out the amazing synth playground which is SynthTemple here - https://www.synthtemple.com/"

chiming with the breeze: wind as control voltage

video upload by Electrum Modular

"I’ve been wondering what it would be like to use a wind gauge as a source of random modulation for a modular synthesizer. Surprisingly, there’s nothing on the modular stores and forums about this, but I went ahead and purchased a cheap anemometer and spent an afternoon patching an electronic 'wind chime' in the local park. Field recording of the wind rustling leaves and birds chirping was added to the mix in Logic.

My new album:

Stuff mentioned in this video:
Yosoo Wind Sensor Trans, Anemometer (unfortunately no longer $40!)
Addac’s Swell Physics module (see my video: [posted here]
Instruo’s Scion module
Koma Electronic’s Sensei module (+ temperature and light sensors)

05.23.25 Blade Runner for fun - Mos-Lab 2500 & Matrix 1000

video upload by batchas

"Therapeutic time with today's version of yesterday's patch. This time with only Mos-Lab 2500 and Oberheim Matrix 1000 active tracks and the other synths are muted. With additional delay/reverb from Audiothingies Doctor A. Recorded in one take, so I don't spend more than one hour per session."
