"Here’s the last EML-200 and EML-300 we fully refurbished. The EML-200 took 25 hours and the EML-300 took 13 hours so far but needs what could be several more hours of work because a couple of the keypad contacts are still malfunctioning occasionally after the first cleaning. Refurbishing 50 year old electronics to work like new again takes a lot of hard work and attention to detail.

"Combine a modular synth with a wind gauge and you get what we might call an electro-aerophone: an electronic instrument that can transform the wind into music … and, in the process, reconnect us to our environment.

On this second trip to the park, I simulate an Aeolian harp with the help of an eight-band, resonating filter bank, a comparator, and an addressable sequential switch.
