On tape loops, clocks, and sequences | patching Studio No.4 with Francesco Gennari

video upload by Frap Tools

"In his fourth étude, ‪@francescogennarimusic‬ crafts a meditative track by integrating a tape multitracker and a modular synth. The key feature of this patch is the synchronization of the two machines, achieved by using a tape track as a clock for the Usta sequencer, which in turn clocks everything else, from Sapèl to the ‪@empresseffects‬ Zoia."

Roland Juno 106 Famous Songs and Sounds

video upload by Nicolas Melis

"Disclaimer:
This video is for educational and demonstration purposes only. All music is recreated from scratch using a Roland Juno-106 synthesizer. No original recordings, samples, or backing tracks were used. I do not monetize this video and do not claim ownership of any of the original compositions.

In the last Daft Punk clip, the Juno-106 pitch bend spring wasn’t working properly—it didn’t return to the center, so I had to return it manually. So it was a bit challenging 😁"

Pam's Plus Ornament and Crime are Melodic Gold

video upload by Metamyther

"In this video, we dive deep into two of the most powerful and versatile Eurorack modules for any modular synth setup: Pam's New Workout and Ornament & Crime. Whether you're building generative patches, syncing complex rhythms, or creating experimental textures for industrial techno or ambient electronica, these modules are essential tools for advanced modulation, quantization, and control. Recently I used both modules to create melodic variation for a given pitch sequence as a way to explore a new creative workflow."

Moog's LAST GREAT SYNTH: The Moog Matriarch

video upload by Noir Et Blanc Vie

"Subjective opinions within, those who do not understand subjective opinion may be excused lol

.....it's great! OK so, I really don't know what to say. As someone who makes music a lot, not all instruments inspire the creative process. I believe the Moog Matriarch does. I haven't bought a synth in a very long time, but this is a gorgeous piece, I'm not a hype man for gear, but sometimes you look back and see that you may have missed out on something...for me, the Matriarch was that one, and I'm grateful they had the dark version still available so I didn't have to show you the crayola colored version lol

Forces of Nature - Geysers (Buchla Music Easel Retro)

video upload by PanicGirlVids

"I’m especially fascinated by volcanoes at the moment - and in this case, by geysers in particular. Slow movements, forceful, steady, unstoppable.

A geyser is a rare type of hot spring that intermittently shoots hot water and steam into the air. Geysers form in volcanic areas where specific conditions exist: a heat source (usually magma beneath the surface), a steady water supply (from rain or snowmelt), and a plumbing system of underground channels and chambers. Water seeps deep into the ground and is heated by the magma. As it gets hotter, pressure builds up in the underground chambers until it suddenly forces the water and steam to erupt at the surface. There are about 1,000 active geysers worldwide, making them rare and spectacular natural features.

It’s worth remembering that we live in symbiosis with the Earth and all its creatures - and that we’re not here to rule over anything.
