CV/gate for EMS Synthi or VCS3 = instant MIDI fun
video upload by analogia pl
"This is one of many videos I've been uploading on IG that feature Papa's CV/gate card - an absolutely indispensable tool for any EMS owner. Add a MIDI-CV converter and you're now in MIDI heaven.
What's happening in this video: CVs and gate are supplied from 2oh2 - Tubbutec modded Roland MC-202. I'm sending CV on channel 1 of 2oh2 to oscillator 1 of the Synthi and another CV channel of the 2oh2 to oscillator 2. Gate comes from channel 1 of the 2oh2.
You can order the CV/gate card here: https://www.portabellabz.be/cvgate.html"
Maciek Polak "Synthi 100 non-tunes"
video uploads by analogia pl
"All tracks were recorded between July 16–18, 2019 at KSYME (Contemporary Music Research Center) in Athens on their Synthi 100. I call them "non-tunes" because they were never intended for release. However, since someone asked about my Synthi 100 experience in Athens, I asked my colleague Marcin Bocinski (legatomastering.pl) to mix and master the recordings."

The Inner Sounds of Tape and iPhone w/ Field Kit, OP-1 field, PO-32 :Check up 2025-09-02 by atnr
video upload by atnr
"A piece created with @teenageengineering OP-1 field, PO-32, and @KOMAelektronik Field Kit. Ambient electronica where drones and noise from a cassette player and iPhone overlap with lo-fi synth loops.
The iPhone and tape player are not connected to anything; instead, an electromagnetic pickup captures internal noise from both devices. The tape player emits drone sounds, while the iPhone produces glitch noise.
On the OP-1 field, synth pad loops are performed and layered with additional recorded takes.
The PO-32 plays rhythm patterns, processed through @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MK II with delay and pitch-shift effects."

ASM Hydrasynth TouchOSC Bidirectional Editor by synth_nyc

via synth_nyc
"It took me 6 weeks to develop the editor because I had to reverse engineer 3729 Program SYSEX bytes with no specifications; and implement 701 NRPN commands with partial specifications. It is the most complex MIDI implementation I’ve ever seen.
Inside Tom Oberheim’s Garage Workshop
video upload by Anthony Marinelli Music
See the full interview here, and the SEM Story here.
"Step inside the legendary garage workshop of Tom Oberheim—the birthplace of some of the most iconic sounds in music history. In this rare behind-the-scenes tour, Tom shares his latest creation: a custom-built computer he’s designing entirely from scratch—just because he loves the way it sounds.
Along the way, Tom opens up his treasure chest of innovations, showing us priceless prototypes from his storied career, including the original Maestro Phase Shifter prototype and circuit boards that paved the way for his groundbreaking synthesizers.
I’m joined by Rob Rosen (Rosen Sound) and Marcus Ryle (Alesis, Line 6) as we hear directly from Tom himself, walking through this sacred space filled with history, innovation, and pure sonic imagination.
👉 Don’t miss this intimate glimpse into the genius of a true pioneer."
