One Synth Challenge - Part 2
video upload by Jason DeRoche Music
"In this video, I revisit the One Synth Challenge and perform an entire song using only the Sequential Take 5. 🎹
Every sound comes straight from this synth, utilizing its powerful oscillators, modulation possibilities and internal effects. Some chorus is also applied at the mixing stage in Logic.

🎛️ One synth. One song.

The Sound of Rush ~ Countdown ~ Vintage Synthesizer Recreation
video upload by RetroSound
"This video features a detailed Rush #Countdown #synthesizer recreation, exploring the vintage analog synth #sounds that define the iconic sound of Rush during their early-#80s rock era.
This video explores the sound of #Rush, focusing on authentic keyboard tones and classic #vintagesynth textures.
Inspired by Geddy Lee’s legendary work, this recreation dives into the #analogsynth #sounddesign behind Countdown, blending polyphonic pads, monophonic leads, period-correct #bass and modulation techniques.

This Granular Synthesizer Completely Blew His Mind
video upload by EZBOT
"If you have been searching for a great granular synthesizer or atmospheric powerhouse, look no further. The Elektron Tonverk was updated recently with several new features but the big standout for music producers, is the new Granular Synthesis engine called GRAINS. It sounds absolutely amazing paired with abundance of modern effects included in the Tonverk."

Ptolemy cover on RX5, TX802, SH-01A
video upload by Collector Current
"In this video I show you my cover of Aphex Twin's "Ptolemy" from the Selected Ambient Works 85-92 album.
I made the drums with the Yamaha RX5, using an RX5USB board on which I loaded Roland R-8M samples. The bass is coming from a Roland SH-01A. The other two melody parts are played on a Yamaha TX802. The three melody parts are sequenced with a Roland MSQ-700.
During the performance I keep touching the computer; that is to stop the screensaver from turning on. The computer screen shows my notes of the structure of the song.

Why the Korg DSS-1 matters
video upload by Espen Kraft
"Korg DSS-1 sampling synthesizer from 1986. Not a very good sampler, because of it's incredibly cumbersome sampling process, but it excel if you use it as a synth. With its capability to manually draw your waveforms, or additive synthesis, you don't have to use the sampling engine at all.
These are a variety of my favourite sounds made up from drawn waveforms and samples.
If you're interested in a in-depth tutorial about sampling on the DSS-1 I have that for sale. Check out the demo video here: • Korg DSS-1 | in-depth 35minutes sampling t... [below]
I overloaded my external effects on some of the sounds in this video hence a bit of distortion here and there. Lexicon PCM70 reverb and Zoom MS70CDR chorus and delay."

"In this video I go through step-by-step how to sample your own sounds into the Korg DSS-1. From scratch, all the way up to a Mult-sound which is one of two "oscillators" of the DSS-1.
I also show how to draw your own waveforms and use these as building blocks for a multi-sound."
