using a WIP track as backing for a MIDIPan improvisation

"MIDIPan sounds nice by itself but I wanted to try using a backing track and I thought that a loop from my current work-in-progress falling-asleep track would work well. It has a chord sequence that makes things a little interesting since you're working with a single scale on the MIDIPan (unless you want to change that on the fly, which I didn't).

Resonant VCF from just 7 basic parts #diysynth #electricalengineering

This VCF uses fully saturated NPN transistors as makeshift voltage-controlled resistors in a simple RC lowpass setup. Chain two stages, feed the output back into the first stage’s capacitor, and it turns resonant without needing any extra parts. Move the input elsewhere in the circuit and you get a resonant high-pass, too.

"Today I'm happy to show you some stuff with Seiche by Holocene Electronics.

Here we go for a deep dive into this very interesting "complex filter". I love modules that blur the line between filter and oscillator and this one of them, adding VCA and wavefolder on top for each of the two sides. The interface is superb and very playable. I'd say it's like a Serge sounding module housed in a Buchla like panel.

Also still some fun with Random8 in there ;-)
