Scott Collins from Kraft Music conducts a series a sonic experiments with a pair of semi-modular analog synthesizers. The Behringer Neutron and the Moog DFAM (Drummer From Another Mother).

The Behringer Neutron conjures up a broad range of monophonic sounds with finesse and ease, thanks to a semi-modular architecture and an array of realtime controls. Its pure analog signal path is based on authentic VCO, VCF, VCA, and state variable filter designs in conjunction with a flexible, multi-wave LFO and classic bucket brigade delay (BBD). Paraphonic mode allows both oscillators to be controlled independently, while Neutron's onboard patching matrix offers an expanded palette of tonal options. Neutron can be mounted in a standard eurorack case for integration into existing modular systems.

The Moog Drummer from Another Mother is the first addition to the Mother-32 family of synthesizers. This highly interactive, semi-modular analog percussion synthesizer represents a vibrant deviation from the traditional drum machine, offering an expressive hands-on approach to percussive pattern creation activated by an easy-to-use analog sequencer. While DFAM's semi-modular design doesn't require patching, its 24-point modular patchbay provides the ability to create unique sounds and behaviors, synchronize multiple DFAM and Mother-32 units, and integrate into eurorack modular systems.

For our second journey we headed out to explore the industrial soundscapes between Rotterdam and Berlin, the spiritual homes of techno and hard electronica styles. We wanted to create an authentic dark techno track, and the diverse concrete and metal environments of the two cities felt like ideal spaces to capture the sounds we needed to make our vision a reality.
