Benge TKS with VCS3
video by zack dagoba
"My first tests on the TKS sequencer and the VCS3 Mk1. Its amazing! It really adds a whole new dimension - and keeps it all in family too. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this setup I think
Here I am sending a simple looping pattern to the VCS3 oscillators and also sending the sequencer signal to half of the ring mod - this is what gives the extra punchy attack on the noise and 2nd VCO - when you put them into the other half of the ring mod the sequencer acts as a gate / VCA trigger and it sounds super cool and awesome. Thanks Keith for the tip, and also getting it all up and running for me - you are the Synthi king!"

Spiken by BENGE. Modcan A Series (self-playing patch)
zack dagoba
"A minimalist study on the Modcan A Series modular system. This is a self-playing patch which utilises two voltage controlled LFOs to generate the timing pulses, and random voltages to control pitch. There are also two audio samplers in the signal path which help generate the spikes
Shot on a JVC KY1900 analog video camera"

Merlin (Moog Modular and MFB-501) by Benge
zack dagoba
"Moog Modular and MFB (standing for Manfred Fricke Berlin) 501B drum machine playing together. The Moog is using a Dotcom S&H to produce the sequence of notes (with an up-saw LFO plus clock). The reverb is the original Moog 905 spring"
