Darshan or Darsana is a Sanskrit term meaning "sight" (in the sense of an instance of seeing or beholding), vision, apparition, or glimpse. It is most commonly used for "visions of the divine" in Hindu worship, e.g. of a deity (especially in image form), or a very holy person or artifact. "Part 3 of 3 live improvisation recordings based on Alesis Ion, Clavia Nordrack 2x and Doepfer modular system. Video combines images from the recording sessions and home takes with lot of effects.

Variation #3 - 22/06/2009: variations based on the same Ion pad and routed effects from previous parts, again the nordrack 2x sounds via midi while playing with a bit of delay. Doepfer plays again sequences held by LFO's and A-155 sequencer module. No post treatment on the audiotrack."

It is a mix from 3 recording sessions involving the same sound: one of them was recorded months ago while the other two were recorded one day before selling the synth. After listem to them and find them so similar in structure, tone and feeling, I just tried to mix them together and found it nice as a good bye to the synth. All of the takes starts with the same sound but evolves to different stages."

Doepfer sequence done only with VCO (A-111) + quad LFO (A-143-2) + quad ADSR (A-143-2) + Xtreme filter (A-106-1) while JP4 goes into Doepfer XP Multimode Filter (A-106-6)

It sounds just as it was recorded directly to minidisc with Kaoss Pad 3 on the echoes."

This was part of a larger recording done after receiving my TC Electronic M-One multieffect unit. While it was supposed to be a demostration of the reverb, I found this part funny enough to isolate it and share.

Audio was recorded to minidisc.

Night driving footage added to do it visually more interesting. It was recorded by my co-driver."

Doepfer enters on minute 1:15, not for sequences but creating a haunting drone that lasts until the end of the track. No post treatment on the audiotrack."

"I've recorded this video after installing the module, a MFOS VC-LFO. It is a voltage controlled LFO with 2 CV inputs, PWM and 5 waveform outputs: Sine, Saw, Triangle, Ramp and Square. It is a great modulation source for any modular system and also very easy to build. Some reverb added while recording."

"Yamaha TG33, desktop version of the Yamaha SY22, focus into vector synthesis while having FM synthesis too. The result is a nice and rare machine with lo-fi waveforms mixed with FM timbres, great to create ambient and new age complex pads and nice metallic, bell and pecussive sounds for industrial, noise and dark ambient.

This demo shows some TG33 presets with a little joystick edition. Reverb come on the recording process to DAW."
