"This is a brand new sealed, unopened copy of the rare classic synthesiser book, 'Synthesizer von Gestern' by Matthias Becker. It is the second volume, which (at 146 pages) is larger than the first, and includes an incredible array of classic synths. Unlike the A-Z or Museum book, this is a beautifully-bound hardback, and is printed on very good quality paper. It is the first and only edition of this rare book. The picture is of another book, but it is identical.

When this book was out of print and no longer available, copies were changing hands for 100GBP-plus. Then the publishers found one last pallet of books in their warehouse, gave them to the author in lieu of royalties, and I drove to Koeln in Germany to bring back all I could.

It is in German, but so much of the book is taken up with beautiful full-colour photos and excellent illustrations that that isn't as important as you might think, if you don't speak German. It's a great coffee-table book, but full of serious information too - and the photos are in a class of their own. Crisp, beautiful, detailed, professional!

"The SPV355 Pitch-to-Voltage Synthesizer was launched in 1979 as part of the Roland Rack series of units including the Roland SVC350 Vocoder and the Dimension D spatial chorus.

It’s a 2 oscillator voltage controller synthesiser with a sub-oscillator, VCF, VCA, envelope generator, two audio mixers (1 for the internal synth oscs, 1 for combining the internal synth with audio input from an external source), and a multitude of interface sockets..."

"Multivox MX-8100 branded a "Computer Basic System." Extremely nice condition for such a vintage unit. Made in late seventies, think I bought in very early eighties. Only minor issue is two missing plastic feet that I must have taken off probably thirty years ago to fit it into whatever keyboard stand I was using at the time. I found one rub mark on back and some very minor wear on edges. See pics for details.

I purchased this at the same time as the SPV-355 Analog Roland Synth I recently sold here on ebay. The control voltage works perfectly with old Roland and Korg Analog Synths. I remember making an adaptor to use with my Minimoog back in the day."
