SetonixSynth Marsupial Dual / Stereo VCF for Eurorack - Sound demo

video upload by SetonixSynth

"This demo contains four patches with the SetonixSynth Marsupial configured in four different ways: as parallel (stereo) low-pass, parallel band-pass, series (mono) low-pass and series band-pass.

To showcase the sound of the filter, there is minimal external processing. For the stereo patches the sound source is the Infrasonic Audio Warp Core, while for the mono patches the sound source is a simple sawtooth wave from our Rottnest analog VCO. The Marsupial is being modulated by a single Infinite Machinery ADSR, which is also modulating the gain level through a transparent VCA. No external fx or compression are applied."

SetonixSynth & Tidbit Audio Solar Voltages Light Theremin for Eurorack - Full Demo Video

video upload by SetonixSynth

"Official demo video for the Solar Voltages Light Theremin by SetonixSynth & Tidbit Audio, with an explanation of the module and some fun patch examples.

More info about the Solar Voltages can be found here: https://www.setonixsynth.com/solar-vo..."

"The Solar Voltages is a 2hp, 2-channel Solar Cell module which outputs two separate control voltages in response to light. Each channel outputs approximately 0-5V, with higher voltages corresponding to more intense and/or direct light. As the two channels can be manipulated with relative independence, the Solar Voltages makes for a great low-profile and multi-dimensional 'light theremin' for direct and spontaneous control of two different parameters at once.

Please note: as the Solar Voltages draws a finite amount of current from incoming light, connecting an output to multiple inputs without a buffer will reduce its maximum voltage output. To increase the range when controlling multiple inputs if desired, we recommend using a buffered multiple."

PVP Wall Meets Serge VCFQ

video upload by SetonixSynth

"Had lots of fun making this generative patch. 5 SetonixSynth/Tidbit Audio Psychedelic Voltage Processors are chained together and controlling one of my favorite modules, the Serge VCFQ. Much of the variation comes from the precise feedback control provided by the SetonixSynth Laka, which is also mixing in a self-oscillating Marsupial filter and also controlling the VCFQ cutoff via its Sequential output.

5 Psychedelic Voltage Processor Feedback

video upload by SetonixSynth

"In this patch, we are using the SetonixSynth Laka Sequential Voltage Processor and five(!) Psychedelic Voltage Processors to create a mega chaotic feedback loop which is then simply being sent to a self-oscillating dual filter (SetonixSynth Marsupial). See and hear the results for yourself!

SetonixSynth Tidbit Audio Psychedelic Voltage Processor

with Rings - Eurorack video upload by SetonixSynth

"In this video, Nick from Tidbit Audio takes us on a psychedelic journey using the Psychedelic Voltage Processor to modulate the popular Rings module!

Patch note: in some segments the PVP is being modulated by an external LFO, the OCHD, and using its output to modulate the Rings."

SetonixSynth Tidbit Audio Psychedelic Voltage Processor & Solar Gravity Nasty Acid

video upload by SetonixSynth

"A quick, fun jam using the new SetonixSynth/Tidbit Audio Psychedelic Voltage Processor to process audio from Befaco Kickall for nasty chaotic distortion, along with a Solar Gravity Vactrol VCA as the final VCA for our acid voice, which consists of a SetonixSynth Rottnest VCO saw wave into the Marsupial VCF.

The PVP and Solar Gravity are now available along with other SetonixSynth and Tidbit Audio products!"

More info:

https://www.setonixsynth.com/document..."

The Psychedelic Voltage Processor, or PVP, is a four-channel chaos module. It uses color-changing LEDs to produce fluctuating voltages in response to the Channel input, with each channel normalized in series to create increasingly chaotic “taps” that can be used one after another for different variations.

Any positive voltage input such as unipolar LFOs, envelopes, stepped voltages, or simply the onboard normalized voltage patched to a channel input is reproduced approximately on each channel output, with the PVP inducing unpredictable fluctuations due to the variable current consumed by an LED circuit with a mind of its own.

Technical Specifications (Eurorack standard)

Width: 8hp

Depth: 25mm

Peak Current Draw: 135mA @ +12V, 10mA @ -12V

Input Impedance (Channel 1): 150kΩ

Input Impedance (Channels 2-4): 100kΩ

Output Impedance (All Channels): 1kΩ, DC Coupled

Setonix Synth and Bastl Dual Filters

video upload by John Schussler

"I've already looked at the Setonix Synth Marsupial. Really liked it, and was accordingly quick to order the Macropod when it became available. At about the same time I got ahold of an Ikarie from Bastl.

Between the three of them, I have a hard time choosing a favorite, and all are definitely keepers.

This is a short comparison to get a feel for their respective sounds. I'm not spending a lot of time on the Marsupial since I already covered it (see link in description/above), but do want it here so I can have a clear ear on how it differs from Macropod.

Source VCO is a Dannysound Cali Osc. Envelope from Zadar. Sequence from Stochastic IG. And a touch of Valhalla reverb at the end.

03:44 Macropod
11:28 Ikarie"

8hp Eurorack Filters

video upload by

"So you have 8hp available, and want to fill it with a filter. Here are some options. They aren't all the options, there are many, many more. But a few new 8hp filters have arrived recently (the XAOC, CCTV, and SetonixSynth), so it seemed like a good time to compare them with some other 8hp filters I have close at hand. For the most part I'll be listening to low pass outputs only.

Source audio is an Intellijel Dixie II+, with a mix of several waves. Envelope is from Zadar. Sequence from Stochastic SIG. A touch of Halls of Vallhalla reverb at the end.

00:20 Zagrzeb
09:52 Filther
17:14 Marsupial
