Rhythmite Alpha Test

YouTube via copenhagennoiselab | December 21, 2010 |

"Testing an early alpha of the 8 track sequencer Rhythmite for the Snyderphonics Manta. Lots of bugs to get rid off, but it is moving along great."

pyrolator - "Snow In Bushwick" (Manta performance)

pyrolator - "Snow In Bushwick" (Manta performance) from pyrolator on Vimeo.

"This is my first piece for the Manta, an instrument by Jeff Snyder (snyderphonics.com). It is triggering two instruments (collision and omnisphere) and a pre-programmed bass (audio-clip) in Ableton Live. The setup uses touch-sensitive note-triggering and the X-Y multitouch-parameters at the same time and is written in max/msp.
Recorded Jan 8th in Bushwick, Brooklyn during some snowfall in front of my window......."

First Wires

nbor

"Perfunctory video for mandatory audio. Slowly getting things organized and wired...I finally got something coordinated and jammed out. The magic sauce is the Snyderphonics Manta Mate which is spitting out a bunch of semi random voltages to stuff.

I have several small modular kits that I've built for easy travel and setup. No travel, no setups these days, so I have them wired together finally making some lovely noise."

Snyderphonics MantaMate in the Works

via Snyderphonics:

"I am working hard on the MantaMate, a device that will allow Manta users to perform without a computer, and to directly control analog synthesizers. It will also be a powerful general-purpose converter between USB devices, MIDI devices, OSC over ethernet, and control voltage (supporting several voltage standards from Eurorack to Buchla to Moog to Serge to Korg). It even has a built-in digital synthesizer, so that it's possible to perform with only the Manta and a MantaMate. I don't have a set date for release right now, but stay tuned!"
