ELEKTRONIKA EM 04

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

You can find a demo of the ELEKTRONIKA EM 04 here.

"Elektronika EM-04. There is a one master oscillator in the instrument. Due to this oscillator a possibility of instrument's detuning in the process of operation is eliminated. This generator shifts a pitch of the instrument on an octave, "slalom-effect" and refines the tuning +/- 1/4. Because of split of the manual into 2 sections, the volume of each part may be adjusted.

Specifications:

— Total audible range - 7 1/12 octaves
— Keyboard's volume - 4 1/12 octaves
— Mains voltage - 220V +/-10%
— Dimensions - 790x490x155 cm
— Dimensions, 890x355x102 mm (31" x 19" x 4")
— Weight, 20 kg (approx. 44 Pounds)

The unit is in excellent condition both cosmetically and functionally.
ELEKTRONIKA EM-04 has a really interesting PURE UNIQUE ANALOG sound."

DrNI:EM - Electronic Music as free as in Free Speech

YouTube via DrNIx123. I asked DrNIx123 what synth was used in this video and he replied:
"the synth is an Oberheim(-Viscount) OB-12 with some minimal modification to a factory preset ("A-064 Chimney" from the timbres) and the on-board arpeggiator.

I recorded it just for fun for a little review on that synth, it's nothing special but I think the "tune" is good enough for a little experiment in the video domain.

The review is in German and can be found here" You can find it in Googlish here.

Video Description:
"A little trash-artistic promotion video for DrNI: EM, my electronic music project. Created by minimal means (digital photo camera, Cinelerra). This video may vanish in the future or it may be replaced by a an improved version.

Sounds like Killers at 1:29.

"EM-25 is an interesting Soviet string-synth that looks and feels like a curious cross between Moog Opus 3, Yamaha SK15 and ARP Solina. Like other Soviet synths, has got a distinct sound of its own and can easily compete with synths that have grown to become classics.

Organ has great vibe - I like its etheral and gentle vibe in upper register. It has one percussive drawbar (again a plus for total tonal variety).
EM-25's organ is quite interesting, potent and woody with full registers, almost acoustic sounding. With a touch of LXP-1 reverb, a single drawbar turns into real Cathedral organ!

Synth section (called brass on EM-25) is VCO fixed preset on both, with full filter section - but only one filter for all voices."

TECLA TÓNICA | documentário

Published on Jan 24, 2017 Eduardo Morais

Video description follows. You'll find a Googlish translation below.

"TECLA TÓNICA - documentário sobre a alquimia da electrónica na música em Portugal //
KEY TONIC - documentary about the alchemy of electronics in portuguese music

Directed and produced by Eduardo Morais, this documentary comes from a synergy between himself and the Jameson Irish Whiskey, carried out during the This genre as fresh as when it came up here."

Witchsphere: Hawkwind cover (Korg EA1 ER1 EM1 Electribe + KP3 + Kaossilator)

YouTube Uploaded by witchsphere on Mar 6, 2011

"Electro cover of a Hawkwind classic. Korg EA1, Korg EM1, Korg ER1 Electribe, KP3 & Kaossilator. File under Hawkwind covers.
Hardware only. Vocals & samples overdubbed afterwards. Synths just as they are.. no overdubs.. quite some noise from just the 3 Electribes eh?
The EA1 provides the main synth sounds, the ER1 the space sweeps & bleeps, and the EM1 the drum and bass.
The Korg Kaossilator is used for deep ambient tones you can just about make out filling the mid-range.

Hawkwind's 'You Shouldn't Do That' written by Nick Turner / Dave Brock and originally recorded by Hawkwind. This cover version is recorded by Witchsphere.

Jordan Passmore Techno demo of MT-40, EM-1, DrumStation and ST-224

Published on Apr 20, 2013 Jordan Passmore·53 videos

"Here is a demo I created of the Korg Electribe EM-1, Casio MT-40, Novation Drumstation, and Zoom SampleTrak ST-224. The EM-1 is doing the sequencing + bass/short stab sound + some percussion, the Casio is doing the square-wave lead tones, the Novation is doing the 909/808ish sounds and the SampleTrak is simply effecting the Casio with it's effects section (I will do a more exhaustive demo of the SampleTrak soon). The Casio is also being ran through a stereo analog chorus and analog delay. There is some compression done with a Roland MMP-2 on the master channel. The entire segment was mixed on a Tascam M-1600 mixing desk."

Soviet Electronika EM-26 Vocoder with Original Canvas Gig Bag

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

Audio demo at the auction and previously posted here.

"This is a Russian Elektronika EM-26 Vocoder. It's similar to the famous Roland VP-330. This was made in Soviet Russia, and is all analog. It has some wear, and can be unpredictable sometimes, but it's understandable since it's from the 1970's, made in Soviet Russia.

I bought it about about 1 year ago, and had it checked and serviced by a professional after I received it.

About it:
Electronika EM-26 portable vocoder is intended for synthesis the voice or external signals, has internal strings ton-generator, analyzer-synthesizer, modulations and vocoder effects.

The pitch of the vocoder can be changed using the keys.

Control panel includes 4 sections: VIBRATO, VOCODER, STRINGS and LEVEL.

VIBRATO section has sliders - accent, depth and rate
VOCODER - chorus knobs (on, mode), mic/vocoder level
STRINGS - on/off, level, violin/cello, sustain
LEVEL - mic, line A, line C

Keyboard PANEL: main level, pitch, interval, octave, pitch bend

A English translation of the panel is included.

Comes with original imprinted military-style carrying case."
