Sequential Prophet 6 + Eurorack (O_c - Marbles - Rings)

"Blending my small Eurorack system with the warm Prophet 6.

I'm running the Viznutcracker,sweet! app in Ornament & Crime sending the crazy 8bit noises into Rings Audio Input. The noises are constantly changing because a multed "Y" random signal from Marbles modulates the parameters generating the aforementioned sweet noises.

Marbles STEPS knob is set fully CW, so it only outputs one note in various octaves. Rings is tuned so that this one note is the same as the root key of the pads.

While running the modular patch through Valhalla Supermassive reverb it reminded me of those kind of lonely space communications, so I used this inspiration to build some pads around the glitchy signals and noises, using my Prophet 6 which I think it's the quickest and easiest synthesizer to program and it also has a nice warm and creamy tone.

I've then layered a second patch from the Prophet whit this Blade Runner-like lead sound.

I love messing with Eurorack modules but sometimes the outcome cannot find its way out of the case, so I think showing one of the possible workflows to actually turn a patch into a track can be helpful and inspirational.

Eurorack: Modular and Nature - 2x Dixie II+, Maths, Moog Minitaur, Big Sky

"The core of the rhythmic idea is Maths with both cycles active; its Fall knobs are modulated by two LFOs with phase inverted, which creates the "alternated plucky contraction" in both Dixies. The pitch info is provided by Marbles.

Chronoblob2 delay and Clouds give each oscillator a different space and flavor.

Going out of the Eurorack, there's a Minitaur playing a simple sub line and a Prophet Rev2 doing some ornaments here and there and a BigSky reverb pedal in Clouds mode which is processing the Eurorack only.

The nature sound effects come from my personal library, recorded with a zoom H6, I thought they would add a nice touch to the track.

"Rings goes into Chronoblob 2 for some nice atmospheric delayed notes.
I'm using Pamela's very slow square wave modulation to change the frequency of Rings' plucks and another LFO to raise the blend of Clouds for an extra layer of sound.
Marbles receives the clock from Pamela and provides the notes to Rings."

Eurorack: Ukulele into Clouds + Basimilus Iteritas Alter

"The drone note is a plucked ukulele string (captured by a piezo pickup into Ears module) which I stored in Clouds buffer. The pitch of the note is modulated by Marbles X section. I have manually tuned the pitch of Basimilus Iteritas Alter to get a bass note, triggered by Marbles t2 (no random skipping beats).
Marbles is receiving the clock from Pamela's New Workout.
I don't have any VCA modules yet so I've used the Dry/Wet blend knob on Clouds to balance the levels of the drone and the bass.
A very simple patch, but quite relaxing and hypnotic imo."
