Plan B Model 23 Analog Shift Register
PotD - The Organ Grinder by navs
"In this patch the M23 was used to shift a quantized sequence to a pair of detuned VCOs, the 'both' input of a Bananalogue/ Serge VCS and the CV input of a VC-LFO. The sequence was transposed by the stepped output of a Wogglebug. A sequential switch was used to alternate between a 'regular' and voltage controlled clock. The switch was triggered by a comparator reading the output of a second random source."

WMD PDO Demo & Review
"The WMD PDO is a timbral oscillator with a twist. Three of its outputs can be discretely shifted in phase relative to the first. It can be used as a quadrature LFO, but the real fun starts when modulated at audio rates. This yields results similar to linear FM, but as the PDO’s creator William Mathewson says in one of his promo videos, phase modulation 'gives you more'. "

Fonitronik mh11 Demo
"The mh11 offers a new take on the basic sequencer concept. An analogue to digital converter generates 256 patterns. The notes and direction stay the same, but the sequence of steps that actually get played is under manual or voltage control..."

Navs' Modular Lab - Filters
Remember the VCO comparison tests? The next installment is up. Via Navs:
"As promised, it's filters this time: Doepfer + Plan B's Low Pass Gates, Plan B's Model 12 State Variable Vactrol Filter and the mighty Cwejman MMF-1. Doepfer's A-105 SSM makes a guest appearance as control from time to time. Download the zipped folders, have a listen, join the forum and tell us what you think!"

"I'd seen these odd shaped and coloured boxes lying round in studios gathering dust before. But it wasn't until I saw Rastko Lazic's inspiring video [posted here] that I took the Micro Modular seriously. Here is a collection of patches, driven solely by the Micro Modular's three knobs..."

Navs DIY Trigger Twin Dual Comparator
"Inspired by Peter Grenader's Triple Event Timer, I gave up on my original LM339 design and settled on a simple Op-Amp circuit. A timing CV is fed into the lower middle jack, pots one and two are used to adjust the delay time, triggers are output from the left and right jacks, orange LEDs indicate the on and off time."

"First Patch of the Day of the new blog features Doepfer's A-152 voltage addressed T&H/ switch and A-149-1 Source of Uncertainty:
Three detuned VCOs play the same sequence. The Multiplexer, or switch, randomly dictates which VCO sounds when."
