Synthesizer.at

Nice synth site with workshops and a dedicated page on the Elka Synthex. Have to like that. Unfortunately I don't read German, so I'm missing out. : ( I ran into this site a couple of times but just recently discovered it again after seeing it on the Deep Synthesis Journal.

Clear Case SCI Pro One

Update: Via Carbon111 via the comments:

"That was a one-off I believe. Sequential made it for use in their full page ads for the Pro-one when it came out. "

Interesting. I never know that.

Looks like I'm on an SCI roll... The following isn't a clear Gleeman Pentaphonic, but actually an SCI Pro One. I forget where I got this shot. If you know please share and I'll update the post.

Pro One Samples

Title link takes you to a post on the Prophet 5 on VSE. Clustercord and CTB put up some great Pro One samples as an example of what the Prophet 5 rev 3.3 can sound like. The Pro One was in essence a one voice Prophet 5 rev 3.3.

SCI Prophet 5 Tribute Site

Great SCI Prophet 5 site I ran into on a VSE thread. I haven't seen it before. It is super rich in content including some history on Sequential Circuits, technical specs, sounds, original advertising, pictures, links and more. Definitely worth checking out.

ARP Mixer

Not a synth but interesting. Sent my way via Tom of Music Thing. Thanks Tom. As usual, I saved the auction shots and the title link takes you there. Some info from the auction below. : )

"On sale a real rare 8 channels vintage analog mixer from ARP, the brand of synthetizers such as the Odyssey and 2600. Arp produced this analog mixer for few months back in late ´70s, and no more than 300 units were made, making this auction an overrare opportunity to buy this great sounding mixer for a very friendly and attractive price. This mixer´dynamics and real warm sound make it a perfect tool for any modern´studio purposes, from mixing a rock/pop project to add warmth and evocative deepth to any electronic music. The item´electronic conditions are good, all the sliders and pots work and sound smoothly and clean and aesthetically the unit is okay. There are some scratches on the panel and on the wooden case, but, after more or less 30 years it´s been made, you shouldn´t ask for more!:-) Still, it sounds miles better than any modern mackie or soundcraft project studio desks, and looks really sexy too :-) Most of the people today don´t consider how important can be the use of a vintage mixer when producing in studio, because our ears already got usual to the flat and cold sound of modern mixers, even the good ones. So, this is a nice opportunity to add something special in your setup, without spending a fortune. Needless to describe Arp´brand hi-specs standards in synthetizers, sequencers, strings machine etc. Pure 100% quality, as this mixer reflects. Don´t miss it, you won´t see another one on sale in ages...! The mixer is in Berlin, germany, but I´ll ship worldwide. Paypal welcome. Happy Bidding!"
