Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) - Get That Sound
Published on Oct 22, 2012 by FutureMusicMagazine
"The title track from 1983's Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) album has one of the most instantly recognisable synth riffs around. There have been many different theories about the synths used on it, but the consensus seems to be that either an Oberheim OB-X was used for both the left and right riffs, or perhaps a Juno-6 and Roland SH-09 for the left and right channel riffs, probably sequenced using a Roland CSQ-100."

"Another showcase of the Dark Time Analog Sequencer from Doepfer and (of course) my brandnew modular analog synthesizer which I am going to build up slowly over the next months and years...
The mellotron sounds in the end come from a vst-intrument called M-Tron (from GForce).
As one may immediately recognize this one was heavily inspired by Kraftwerk's "Franz Schubert", for me one of their most beautiful and subtl works... hm, maybe together with "Kometenmelodie 2"...!
For those of you who want to download the music here is the link to a mp3 file coded with 320 kbps: http://rapidshare.com/files/449760761..."

"This is just a little test run of the Doepfer Dark Time Analog Sequencer. It is running in 2x8 mode. The first row is driving the Doepfer Dark Energy Analog Synthesizer with a bass sequence via cv/gate outputs. The second row feeds the Waldorf Blofeld via midi."
