I had to cut corners a little, so I made a reference patch so all algorithms would have the same source limitations. In real life, results will depend on your sources and settings. I also kept everything dry so you can hear all the little crisps and artefacts. Inevitably, it's a long and dirty video so check out Part 01 for an overview/impression."

SUPERBOOTH 2024: Ohmforce - Ohmicide Module

"At Superbooth 2024, Ardon from Ohmforce showcased their new Eurorack module, the *Ohmicide*, a physical incarnation of their popular distortion plug-in. The module features the 111 types of distortion from the plug-in, allowing users to access all the familiar distortion options in a hardware format. With a step sequencer for performance mode, the Ohmicide is designed for live playability and experimentation. Priced at $490, the module is now available for purchase.

Ohmforce also previewed their other upcoming modules, including the *Fromager*, a resonant low-pass filter with distortion, the *Hematohm*, a frequency shifter with delay and envelope follower, and the *Rohmble*, a rumble effect with four tap delays and multiple effects. i remembered this plugin the other day and thought why hasn't anyone made a video of it. it's probably down to you have to register to ohm force before you can download it.

This reminds me, I was playing Smule's Magic Piano on my iPad last night and decided to see what "Duet" mode was. It brought up a globe of the world that rotated to another player visualized by streams of light for each note played. There was a name "Sofia" on the bottom right of the screen. I was able to play along to this person. I have no idea if "Sofia" heard and saw my name while playing as well.

The core of the synth, its oscillators and all the filters are there: it's the same audio engine of the 'normal' version. The only difference is that they're all already programmed/fixed for each one of the (up to 1200!) patches from Symptohm's sound library, the result being a simple and straight forward interface."

"Modified in a similar way to my other 505 except this one was already 'perma bent' to a minor degree when i picked it up. The drum sounds have always been slightly odd and the toms and low conga sound strange when you turn the pitch up beyond it's standard setting. Building a distortion circuit into it proved to be a major headache due to it's bizarre flaws so i took a look at www.burnkit.com and found a cool square wave injection modification there. It may not have the nasty edge of my other tr505 built into it but it has a larger range of sounds. It still sounds cool through some distortion though so at 2.59 i processed the audio in soundforge through the ohm boys vst plugin ohmicide before compiling the video. Ohmicide is the best vsti distortion out there in my opinion and gives a good example of how cool this thing would sound through some decent hardware fx.

Thanks to the guys at www.burnkit2600.com for putting the time into their site and sharing so much good info on not only the tr505 but the 626, hr16 and lots of other stuff."

"How to fatten my Vermona M.A.R.S. :D

A nice example of how useful and savage can be the Vermona MARS filter with its so special resonance sound.
Im using a bass patch with high resonance on the filter. This sound is processed by the Ohmicide distortion by Ohmforce, then goes in the MobilOhm still by Ohmforce team, then ends in a sonitus delay for the space thing.
