First patch with A100 Minicase

First patch with A100 Minicase from Peter Speer on Vimeo.

"I'm using it with a Voice of Saturn Sequencer and a couple of Frostwave pedals (The Resonator and the Blue Ringer).

Nothing to listen to really-- I'm just excited to finally have some modules to play with and am filming this strictly for the purposes of down-the-road nostalgia stuffs.

In the case:
Doepfer A-118 (not used)
Plan B ELF LFO
Doepfer A-140
Doepfer A-132-3"

Synthpunk with a Roland SH-201

Master B.E.T.A on MySpace

"My synth punk band Master B.E.T.A. ( http://www.myspace.com/masterbetaband )recently played a show for Part Time Punks, a popular Sunday event at the Echo in Los Angeles.

Also, if any of your viewers wants a free demo, I'm shipping them out for free!

It's not for the faint of heart: pure synthpunk. No sequencers, no bullshit."

"I use Roland SH201. Two Saw tooth waves stacked on top of each other, seperated and octave and pushed through a Fender Combo. Ah the joy of simplistic brute tones. Prior to acquiring the 201, I used a MicroKorg. Loved the MS2000 sound engine, but the little synth started giving out after a few years -- I'm guessing the circuit board's placement didn't help (beneath the keys plus my sweat build up). We have songs on our page and a video coming in a few days. You don't have to do anything for it if you don't want, we are just trying to do our own thing while taking from the past; pure synth punk."

Moog MP201

Box shot via brian c.
"SN 84. The shipping box lid requires you to cut through the label on top so I took this picture before I cut through it pretty cool, my only beef is that there is no software editor so you have to pick it off the floor to program it which means pulling up 4 CV cables, 2 MIDI cables , power and USB cables which is kind of awkward, or you can leave it on the desktop but that makes it hard to use with your foot anyway its way cool, 4 LFOs out as CV and/or MIDI CC, this will make my filters sing for sure"
Update via brian in the comments: "two other things:
1. the LFOs synch to MIDI or tap tempo as an option
2. there are 50 presets so if you plan ahead you don't have to pick it up very often"

Starkey Hearing Science modular synthesizer (video 5)

YouTube via scienceforce

"This is another Starkey modular synthesizer release, upgraded with 3x Lfo, 3 vco cv in, 3 vcf vc in with 3 amount controls, 3 vco waveform shapers (sine to square) and two gate in. The sequencers is totally working."

Solar Module Board MIDI & Synth ElectroKraft.com

YouTube via orphiusflux
"This is the "board" version of the Solar Module. Can be used as is, or installed in a project box. It is completely assembled and all parts are soldered for you. Two instruments in one. It is an 8 bit synth and MIDI controller. Uses a 12" ribbon sensor, the same sensor used in commercially manufactured ribbon controllers. Also come with a photocell sensor that plugs right into the board. The photocell sensor will allow you to use the Solar Module board as an optical Theremin. Available at ElectroKraft.com "

Part II: Solar Module Board MIDI & Synth ElectroKraft.com

YouTube via orphiusflux. Part 1 here.
"This is the second part of the demo of the Solar Module Board; an assembeled/soldered MIDI and 8 bit synth board controlled with a ribbon controller and photocell sensor."

Part III: Solar Module Board MIDI & Synth ElectroKraft.com

"This is the 3rd demo showing some of the sounds of the Solar Module Board. This video only shows 1 or 2 sounds produced from both the MIDI and 8 bit Synth modes. There are many sounds possible."

UAD Moog Multimode Filter Now Available

see this post for a video of the filter. "If UA were able to conceive a product with Moog, what would it be? The answer is revealed in the new Moog Multimode Filter, which delivers the first truly analog-sounding VCF (voltage controlled filter) emulation made for mixing, performing, creating, or destroying. The Moog Multimode Filter is a ‘digital-only’ tabletop filter set that combines the best of Bob Moog’s classic designs with select features from his final Voyager instrument.

* Stunningly accurate UAD recreation of the historical Moog Four-Pole filter sound
* Sophisticated Lowpass, Highpass and Bandpass filtering with self oscillation, saturation and zero artifacts
* Several classic and modern Moog instrument features combined into one simple control set
* Six waveshapes, and tempo synchronization for LFOs
* Mono and Stereo processing, with special features like Spacing and Offset for stereo effects
* Includes low DSP “SE” version of Moog Multimode Filter"

bergfotron minimoog vca project(s)

via numbertalk on this electro-music.com thread.

"I would like to build a Minimoog VCA clone. I would like to base this off of adaption(s) designed by Bergfotron. There are 2 of his schematics I'm looking at and would like to incorporate features of one into the other but have a few questions, if anyone could help (and can manage to read through these questions Smile).

For the questions below, schem 1 refers to link - this is the one I would like to mainly base my module on.

And schem 2 refers to link - this is one I would like to use a few of the extra features from."

More info and questions at the thread.
