"Sorry about the camera audio! After watching Simonsound's Woggle vids, I thought I'd upload a 'bug controlling some other modules. Not for intense scrutiny; just having fun!"

Music Machines Synth Event Auckland November 21st

http://www.musicmachines.co.nz
http://www.facebook.com/musicmachines

"A one day creative event bringing together New Zealand’s largest collection of classic synthesiser’s and drum machines."

It's something I've been planning for a while but is now ready to go with the help of many of NZ's synth enthusiasts and musicians. I'm still putting the final line up together but it looks like we should have about 150 synths / drum machines all plugged in and ready to go plus performances and demo's from local collectors and musicians from NZ's electronic music community."

See the links above for more detail.

Original 1929 RCA THEREMIN

via this auction
"1929 RCA THEREMIN with RCA Speaker
One of 485 ever built, and experts estimate perhaps half of them still exist. To describe it as “RARE” is stating the obvious! Condition: Amazing for being 80 years old. The electronics appear to be all original with no obvious mods or repairs. The wood cabinet of the Theremin appears to be the original finish and displays well for its age, although one back door has some warping. The speaker has an obvious grill cloth issue, but cone seems okay. AC cord is brittle.

Provenance: I purchased it from its second owner in Indianapolis. He acquired it from the local original owner . . his neighbor and family friend. It road gently in my car to my home in Wichita.

AUCTION INCLUDES: RCA Theremin with both Antenna . . RCA Speaker Cabinet . . Theremin Stand . . and a box of spare tubes, from the original owner’s estate! Also – including a copy of a newspaper article about the original owner, original owner’s manual book. Also including the self teaching course book from Moog, along with the Analog Days book autographed by Dr. Bob Moog at the book’s release in LA a few years ago. Seems fitting to include it, based on his history and relationship with Theremin."

Flower Electronics LBB Double and TSP Teaspoon

YouTube via thetonewrecker
"Just running 3 Osc on the Flower synth modulating each other a little bit. Signal passes through the Squarewave Parade Teaspoon lo-fi sampler/glitch/stutter box."

Machines push more sludge

" Frostwave sending CV into the Flower Electronics LBB Double. Also has TSP Molester getting its filter altered by a cv signal. Bryan B's new Ulti Mult is in there as well, splitting the CV signal to all 4 Oscillators from the single cv output on the Frostwave. Fantastic box he's made!"

TSP Teaspoon and Junky Guitar part one

YouTube via thetonewrecker
"Plucking some plain guitar strings through the TSP Teaspoon for some random playback."

TSP Teaspoon as gate keeper = hang on

"I decided to try feeding the gate signal from the Acidlab Bassline to control the MC-202, but feed it through the Teaspoon. The CV control for the pitch passes directly, but now I can control the resampling/repeats of the 202 playing back the pitch it is following from the Acidlab. I really like how it grabs part of the trigger pulse and you get these strange clunky chugging retriggers. The 202 is not the best synth to trigger externally since the CV and gate go through the digital section before it hits the analog synth , but it was what I had on hand. More soon."

bugbrand modular guitar loop and playing along harmonica typ

YouTube via thetonewrecker
"The loop I playback from the computer was just an acoustic guitar I had plugged into the bugbrand modular before I grabbed the camera for this piece. Simple patch of the SYN2A osc into the LPG (which was getting the ENV1 to control the attack and decay from pressing on the touchpanels. 4 pitch settings running back over to the osc via the cv dial on one of the rows from the CTL1 panel. There was also a digital delay at the end in the PRC1 panel, but it was not getting any control voltages sent to it from the panel. Output signal was just going to this small (noisy) amp sitting on the top of the box off camera. No wild playing going on here..just a simple demonstration of playing along with another loop. I guess it ended up being a slight harmonica type tone."
