Sync-Lock Pro Tools.mp4

YouTube via innerclock2004
"This time we are using Pro-Tools LE and a 003 Control Surface on a Mac G5. A basic demo but here we see an external Roland MV-8000 and a rather cranky Roland SH-101 being driven direct off Pro-Tools via the Sync-Lock. Prior to shooting the video I recorded two identical passes of the MV-8000 Midi Pattern to separate tracks in Pro Tools. No editing was done on these takes at all. On pressing [Play] on the 003 Transport what you hear initially is these two Pro Tools Audio Tracks plus the MV-8000 and the SH-101 running live via the Sync-Lock. You can clearly hear the audio tracks and the live audio phasing and the tone of the phase does not change which indicates no drift in the sync. I then zoom in on the G5 screen so you can clearly see both audio tracks and the click track grid and just how well they line up. Next I mute the Audio Tracks in Tools and then the MV-8000 leaving just the SH-101 pattern playing. I then un-mute just the two Audio Tracks. Again, you will hear the phasing is constant between both takes. I then wind back up the MV-8000 midi pattern volume. Next I tangle with the cranky SH-101 output jack and do one final mute of the two audio tracks again before finishing."

Rainstorm sequencer on Novation Launchpad

YouTube via hotchk155
"More programming experiments on my Launchpad... A twist on a step sequencer to add a bit of randomness. Press buttons to send a note trigger falling in the column. Press to toggle bottom row lights... RED means play once and GREEN means repeat notes.
Probably would sound better with notes mapped across a scale instead of an 8 semitone range.... As before I used MIDI YOKE to pipe midi output from a Visual C++ program to Reasons midi input (Windows)"

Experimenting with volume pedal Persephone.mp4

"Today was....interesting. Tiger was home from school so she came with me to the studio. The idea was of course to just burn some files for White willow and then leave but I felt like I wasnt entirely done with the them...So I did a handful of overdubs.

So I recorded some ambient vocals with my daughter, some maas rowe vibra chimes and some spooky persphone..And then tomorrow Ill send them all to Jakob and he will have a swell time trying to figure what to use and what to loose.

For more info on the studio please visit www.roth-handle.nu"

Monorocket: Double Lexington installed

flickr by Analogue Haven

"Here is a photo of the Double Lexington that was previously posted, partially filled and installed in its new home. The back brace secures the two cases together nicely and the module weight holds the cases firmly to the table. What a beautiful sight to wake up to in the morning. :)

The Casio CZ-3000 "1986" by Justin Robert

YouTube via musicajuro
"I recorded the album "1986" entirely with a Casio CZ-3000. There are no over dubs, no external FX used, and no computer processing to change the sound in any way. 1986 is largely inspired by the classic ambient sounds of the 1980s like Steve Roach, Klaus Schulze, and the Blade Runner soundtrack by Vangelis.

You can get a full length flac version at http://justinrobert.bandcamp.com which is the best way to go. Flacs sound much better than MP3s, however if you want in on MP3, you can get that there for free as well.

Thanks for checking out my video and I hope you like the sounds!"
