LinnDrum + Bit 99 + Ensoniq EPS demo

YouTube via SynthManiaDotCom — June 22, 2010 — "A demo of the LinnDrum drum machine, Bit 99 synthesizer, and Ensoniq EPS sampler. In the Italo / Synth Pop vein.

The three machines complement each other well."

EML Electrocomp 500

via this auction

"Unlike the Octave CAT, the EML 500 is not just a strongly ARP Odyssey inspired synth - it's a world on its own. Three mode filter (LPF / BPF / HPF) and quite wild modulation routings, in companion to rugged and agressive sound, make the EML one sound shaping tool that really stands out in the crowd. Besides, it very, very hard to come by these days."

Custom Patchable Minimoog D

flickr by remixartistcollective

I contacted remixartistcollective (http://remixartistcollective.com) for more info on the mods. The following is what he had to say.

"It's currently at a friends house but if I can remember correctly,

On the left it's just CV / Gate
OSC3/LFO Out
VCF In
VCF Out
Ext In
Noise
and one more I can't remember.

This synth has made it's way across the world. It used to belong to some dude in Australia that ripped it apart and put it together like this. He even breadboarded a board so glide would work with CV. It's somewhat stable but it still needs a lot of work to get back to good condition."

Roland PG-200 Synthesizer Controller

via this auction
"Though the JX-3P is fully editable by itself, the PG-200 brings this little powerhouse analog synth to a whole new level, offering complete control over every editable parameter with individual knobs for each parameter... This PG-200 has 2 soft magnet (fridge magnet style) plates attached to the back that allow the PG-200 so fasten to the JX-3P easily and reliably. The special 9 Pin cable used to link the controller to the JX-3P (or GR-700/MKS-30) is included which is a very difficult item to find individually"

ROLAND JX-3P ANALOG SYNTHESIZER

via this auction
"The JX3P is easily one of the most underrated analog synths out there. This synth boasts surprising potential with 2 fully controllable DCOs per voice and other parameters such as cross modulation and a random waveform selectable for the LFO that set this little synth apart from other analog synths of the same era. Furthermore this synth has a built in sequencer (stepwise control) and a midi control interface that make the synth all the more versatile. Contrary to popular belief, this synth is surprisingly editable as is using the edit chart located in the upper right hand corner of the synth. Editing is done using an alpha slider, labeled “Sens”, and the location of each parameter setting is displayed by the row of LEDs along the patch selector buttons. This particular JX-3P is in excellent shape with only a few minor scratches as can be seen in the pictures. This synth is completely functional. The “Sens” slider for this synth is a little touchy due to lack of use for the past few years, however once you figure out how it reacts you will have no problems editing with it and I believe it will become even better as it is used more often. The presets on this synth sound phenomenal with some of the best analog strings you can find. If you enjoy analog and want a reliable synth that will integrate well into any modern music production setup (as it has midi), then this is the best little powerhouse you are going to find! I am also selling the PG-200 controller in another auction, which is not essential but a very nice little add-on for controlling the JX-3P"

YouTube via SatStorm — June 26, 2008 — "Back in 1994 creating Techno Music, was much more complicated than today! In this rare interview, we see some well known German music producers, do their magic! Europeans, that is our story: Don't forget it!"
Some synth spotting.
