Moon Modular M511ac QUAD VOLTAGE CONTROLLED GATE DELAY

"The M 511ac QUAD GATE DELAY combines four voltage controlled gate delay circuits in one module, which delay the incoming gate signals in a range from ca. 1 ms up to 20 seconds.

Each delay unit hat its own pair of display LEDs.

The four gate in/outputs are internally connected like this:
Output 1 goes into input 2,
output 2 goes into input 3 and
output 3 goes into input 4.
This allows complex delay combinationwithout external patching.
The 'Manual Gate' button afects delay input 1.
The time control voltage inputs are "chained":
i. e. a control voltage in the input 1 jack controls the inputs 2/3/4 as well, if there is nothing else patched.
(Input 1 is internally connected to +10 volts if nothing is patched).
Control range 0-10 volts, higher control voltages give longer delay times.

"The Smomid is an instrument created by Nick Demopoulos and it's name is an acronym for "String Modeling Midi Device. In this video I'm experimenting with the idea of using the Smomid to control drumbeats. I didn't utilize all the functions I have, but some of them include reversing the directions of all the drum samples, different rhythms for different drums, scrambling up a drumbeat and having certain drums play random rhythms. "The HD version of a jam with Moldover at Tranzducer .011 in Brooklyn, NY, on November 30, 2007. I play my Buchla 200e/Haken Continuum system, while Moldover works out on his controllerism rig. This is a completely spontaneous, unrehearsed, undiscussed improvisation, and the first time we've ever played together; while it's camera-audio only and so not the best quality, I think it's worth checking out. The complementary video improvisation was provided by Bert Baldwin.

This will be an all day event displaying all of So Cal's best noise acts on Saturday, October 9th during Santa Ana's monthly art walk. This is truly a one of a kind event and there is no one else in So Cal pulling this kind of festival together. It shall be a great and unique experience! We will be trying to tape and record this event and compile it into a DVD in the near future.
