The Wiard Zero Prototype & Bimorphic Filter Research Prototype

This one in via Mr. Array. What you are looking at is The Wiard Zero Prototype built into Aries 300 module frames. You can find more pics and details on this sub-page of Grant Richter's synth-DIY page. Be sure to check out his site for more. Grant is the man behind Wiard. The following is an excerpt on the Bimorphic Filter Research Prototype (more modules are listed in the sub-page linked above):

"There are so many good filters in the world. I wasn't even sure I was going to make one. A system isn't complete without a filter though. But what new twist can I bring to filter design? One thing I'd like to see is voltage control of filter type. The way this is done is to take the sections of a filter (called "poles") and surround them with a switch matrix so they can be rewired into useful filter types (lowpass, bandpass, highpass and phase shift). An analog to digital converter is used to control the switch matrix, giving voltage control of the type."

THE TOWN OF SOUND - New Moon Modular 568 Sequencer

"THE NEW MOON 568 IN ACTION"

http://lunar-experience.com
"The M 568 QUAD SEQUENTIAL TRIGGER SOURCE is an elaborated trigger sequencer. It features four tracks of trigger positions, each with 32 steps, which can be combined to one long sequence of up to 128 steps:

4 sequences with up to 32 steps 2 sequences with up to 64 steps 1 sequence with up to 128 steps

The gate positions are activated by pushing the as- sociated button. The LED lights up. Pushing the button again deactivates the respective gate position.

More than one reset position per row can be set. The active reset buttons are displayed by means of blinking LEDs. By reaching the first blinking position a reset to step 1 is actuated (and triggers a gate, if position 1 is active/LED on).

To set/remove a reset position push and hold the „Set Reset Pos“ button - then push as many but- tons as desired and release „Set Reset Pos“.

Pushing and holding „Set Reset Pos“ and „Reset All“ deactivates all gate and reset positions at once.

The gate outputs are „mirrored“ depending on the chosen „Sequence Mode“. In 2 x 64 mode the gate outputs 1 and 2 respectively 3 and 4 deliver the same output, while the switch-on times of both parallel outputs may be different.

This means: E. g. output 1 with a short gate time provides all active gates, while output 2 with a re- ally long gate time provides only a few „long“ gate signals.

In 1 x 128 mode the four gate outputs provide four times the same signal in parallel. This time with in- dividual gate lengths, as desired, as well."

Circuitbenders KORG KPR-77 DRUM MACHINE with MFB SEQ-01

via Circuitbenders where you'll find the details including samples.

"There are a total of 26 new knobs and two new switches on the front panel. The standard KPR77 has no control over any sound parameters and as a result is a rather lifeless machine but these new knobs take it into a whole new world of analogue percussion. We have also adjusted the trigger pulse of the bass drum to give it a more 808'ish clicking punch instead of the standard weak tick."

Be sure to see the rest of the site for more mods.

21 Sequencer WaveForm

YouTube via 7thDanSound | November 17, 2010

"If you clock your analog sequencer in a high frequency using an oscillator you get a waveform generator with discrete parts that you can control. With the other channels you can control other things like filter cutoff or resonance."

Roland MC-202 MicroComposer

"These are great little machines with true bass massiveness that differentiates from the 101 for some reason. They are compact, portable and powerfull. Great for live shows and as a master controller as well with its cv/gates outs. Very fat and warm filters typical of Roland during this time. You can run output voltages from "Built in Synth" outputs or the "Est synth" track as well. Phones out, main out, cv-gate kybd in, sync out or in, memory dump or load (get that cassete player out and freak the computer face nerds when you do your tape dump)."
