dave smith mopho keyboard demo by jschnable
"Just a little demo of the Dave Smith Mopho keys, being sequenced in Ableton Live 8. Recorded in with a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP on two Live channels, processed with separate delays on each. Drums were just sort of quickly keyed in and looped.

Around 4:10 you get to hear the filter self-oscillate a bit (I could have pushed it more). Otherwise, it's an OK example of the range you can get tweaking the Freq, Cutoff, and Filter Env, Filter Attack, and Filter Decay.

You can check out photos of the keyboard here: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjzdNonz"

"We are pleased to introduce the fourth update (version 1.07) to Rhythm Studio.

The fourth update includes the addition of a powerful three operator FM (frequency modulation) synthesizer, the FM-3. The FM-3 has been designed to allow maximum results with minimal effort. The complexities of FM synthesis have been simplified to allow you to create great sounds right from the start. In addition, we are adding a help link within the app to a full set of online tutorial videos. The video tutorials touch on all the major aspects of Rhythm Studio. From navigating the song browser and its options to interacting with all of the virtual synthesizers and other audio gear in the workspace, the video tutorials will help you learn Rhythm Studio faster."

The Norman Conquest - nadir & ZENIT

"nadir & ZENIT inhabit two different realms of temporality. ZENIT sculpts time with textures hurtling your consciousness through the cosmos faster than the speed of light. nadir invokes stillness seeping you in layers of cosmic dust; suspending time. The experience can be furthered by playing both tracks simultaneously; creating a supernova of sound that swirls and bellows around you. Both pieces were realized using only vintage analog synthesizers recorded to analog tape with many layers of multi-tracking. nadir was created on an ARP Axxe, and ZENIT was made with a Sequential Circuits Pro One.

AMSynths AM8109 JP8 Low Pass VCF & June 2012 Newsletter

via AMSynths

"This module is replication of the Low Pass Filter from the legendary Roland Jupiter 8 and 4. This is a 2 and 4 pole OTA design that Roland first used in the Jupiter 4 in 1980, replacing a discrete version of the filter which took up more PCB space.

This is a warm sounding filter with smooth frequency control and a resonance that gradually increases up to full self oscillation, a sound very reminiscent of the early 1980's.

The difference between 2 and 4-pole modes is not dramatic, with the 2-pole mode providing a more gradual cutoff slope and silky sound.

Via the June 2012 Newsletter:

"Latest News: We have had a busy few weeks shipping modules and completing the design of the AM8075SE Athena VCF and the AM8005 SH-5 VCF ready for launch in June. Stocks of the AM8705 Dual ADSR and AM8071 SnowFall VCF have run low, but we will have new stock in June. The AM8109 JP8 VCF consistently sells out but we have enough parts for another 20 to be shipped in 2012.Initial shipments of the AM8319 Diode Array VCF have started and a new iPad catalogue has been launched along with more SoundCloud demos. Work continues on completing the AM8027 VCO and AM8047 UAF, and a new online store will be launched later this month to enable customers to purchase straight from stock and with automatically calculated shipping."

TransX and the Computer Music Guide Music Compilation

via Chris Gunn on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge

"I’m pleased to announce our first ever compilation album of community submitted songs! Each submission must be an original composition and be a mainly synth driven piece.

I’d like to do this each year with a different theme and since it’s summer, our first theme will be “Hot Summer Nights”. Think the 1908′s and the perfect sound track from Jan Hammer tune or a John Carpenter theme to a movie about killer robots! Or even light up the floors with a hot ’80′s new wave hit! It’s completely up to you!"

Details on Computer Music Guide. And no, I don't believe TransX is associated with this. It's a just a keytastic shot!
