Self Erecting Structures by Atomic Shadow

via Atomic Shadow
"After I decided to retire the man in the lab coat it dawned on me that I had made quite a few videos featuring that personae. Why not compile an album from those tracks and make them all available to commemorate the end of an era? So here is the result. All of the videos are viewable at my Vimeo site.

Tracks 8 and 9 were demos of Hollow Sun's Cognopshere instrument for Kontakt and Wolfgang Palm's PPG WaveGenerator app for iOS respectively.

Track 13 is one that was done for another project and was lost while backing up to an external drive. It recently resurfaced while I was looking for something else. I took this as a sign and included it here.

This is a 'pay what you want" download and I have several empty spots in the racks of my Command Center that are painfully aggravating my OCD so please consider helping out with a purchase. Or buying some of these raw sounds for your own use at my Pond 5 site.

You can subscribe to my blog at www.atomicshadow.com where I post on the rare occasion that I have anything new or interesting to report.

"Ode to the 2600" - ARP 2600 (x2) & Analogue Solutions Oberkorn (x2)

"Ode to the 2600" song featuring ARP 2600 (x2) and Analogue Solutions Oberkorn (x2)

Published on Nov 4, 2012 by rezfilter

"Here's a demo song featuring a soundscape entirely from the ARP 2600 (x 2)! All sounds, fx and drum patterns in the track were sequenced exclusively via the Oberkorn MK3 by Analogue Solutions.

Every synth line was then recorded into Logic and layered to create the finished track you hear in the video. The only reverb used was the spring reverb from the 2600, and only on select sounds.

The 2600 interfaces nicely with the Oberkorn and allows for the type of filter sweeps, steps and patterns you cannot achieve via the standard keyboard (or simple CV) alone.

LILIA - from Falcom Vocal Collection I

Published on Sep 1, 2012 by SoundOptimize

Drum and Bass Goof-Off Session

Published on Nov 4, 2012 by FatSynthDude

"Stressing out lately with getting the studio put back together, so thought I'd fiddle with a genre I know nothing about to blow off steam. MPC1000 w/JJOS doing the sequencing and drum stuff, OTO Biscuit handling the processing, Arturia MiniBrute on the bassline, Future Retro XS doing the paddy thingy, Red Square doing the lead, and StudioLive handling mixing and additional effects."

Another Sneak Peek - New Synth Coming from Cynosure48?

Published on Nov 4, 2012 by Cynosure48

Here is another sneak peek of sounds from the project I am working on. I added some reverb, but otherwise all the sides are from the synth, which was receiving a 3 note loop from Ableton Live. Everything you hear is just three long notes, one after the other. Arppegios were done within the synth.

Would you like to own a synth that can produce sounds like this?

Walkman Sample and Hold

Published on Nov 4, 2012 by chisel316

"In this demo, I use a Walkman as the source for the Doepfer A-148 Sample and Hold module. The output is sent into the 1v/Oct CV input of the Kraftzwerg Triple Oscillator. Notice the subtlety of the random notes compared to using white noise. Hope you enjoy it!"

Moog attitude by Frank Herrgott

Published on Nov 4, 2012 by Frank Herrgott

"I just bought the Moog Voyager (rack version) and was very enthusiastic about the sound. I did this demo to share some of the sonic possibilities of this beast. I use only the sounds of the moog voyager and did use only verbs, Eqs, compressors ans delays as effects. I also mention that it is the first timle that I use Adobe Premiere (video editor), it's a great soft. Thanks for passing by, see you soon on the net.... and have fun with the Moog Attitude!
