Marsynth WSB-A Now Available

You might rember the Wasabi from this previous post.  It is now available.

via Marsynth

"The WSB-A is now officially available!

The first run is available only in assembled form due to a few issues with small through-hole pads on the boards. The next run will include both assembled and kit formats.

Current pricing for the board is $60 assembled and $40 for the kit plus shipping. Orders will be handled via email (marsynth at gmail dot come) for the time being.

The WSB-A product page went up a little while ago which now has the official info sheet and some audio demos: http://marsynth.com/products_mswsba.html

WSB-B is coming along nicely and will hopefully be available in time for the holidays.

Several other *big* things are in the works but likely won't be announced for some time.

As always, thanks for your interest and support!

Atomic Shadow - The World Of Tomorrow

The World Of Tomorrow from Atomic Shadow on Vimeo.

"This piece features EMW-200, DotCom, STG, Krisp 1 modules along with sine wave oscillators, Moog ring mod, and various effects. Michael Dodds assembled this film from footage that was shot while recording the piece on 11/23/12. I think he captured the spirit of the piece beautifully.

At the very end of the piece you get a very brief glimpse of the new look for Atomic Shadow. Very brief."

Simple Step Sequencer for Livid Code

Published on Nov 29, 2012 by lividTV

"This is a quick demo of a simple step sequencer for the Livid Code.
more info http://blog.lividinstruments.com/2012/11/30/darwins-code-step-sequencer-an-ev...

An update to Darwin Grosse's step sequencer as outlined in Part One of "Working with Hardware" http://cycling74.com/2012/01/04/working-with-hardware-livid-instruments'-...

This is the sort of 'most obvious' approach to making a step sequencer on the Code: thirty-two steps, with the knobs changing pitch on a pentatonic scale. Because it's so simple, it's ultra-fun, and similar to classic analog step sequencers.

In that analog spirit, this video uses Reason's SubTractor synth, with its Echo delay to make some really great sounds with the simple stepper."

Mixing with Propellerheads Reason and Livid Code Step Sequencers

Published on Nov 30, 2012 by lividTV
Further explorations of using a simple step sequencer build in Cycling74's Max with Reason's amazing sound toys. More information and downloads (including free step sequencer app) is available at http://blog.lividinstruments.com/2012/11/30/the-evolution-continues-code-and-...
All of the effects, synths and sequences are controlled with the Livid Code MIDI controller. An over the shoulder camera view lets you see that everything is done in realtime, and in the screen capture of Reason lets you see the parameters as they change. There's a better take of the music mix here http://bit.ly/SAc2fd"

Livid CNTRL:R Ableton Live Remote Script Tutorial

Livid CNTRL:R Ableton Live Remote Script Tutorial from Livid Instruments on Vimeo.
We've been so excited about the Stepp:rs that we've never really given a tutorial about the main part of the CNTRL:R Live script.
This video demonstrates, in a dry-but-clear manner, the CNTRL:R in Ableton Live, using the Livid remote script available at
http://blog.lividinstruments.com/2011/04/20/controller-apps/
This script provides control over clip triggering, master volume and pre-hear, track volume and pan, sends and returns, device controls, as well as a lot of other controls to navigate and control your session. We also demonstrate the use of the User MIDI Map slots and how to use those to map to and easily play a drum rack. There's lots of ways to control effects in your set, and we cover them all.

Written documentation of this Ableton Live Remote Script is at
http://wiki.lividinstruments.com/wiki/CNTRLR_Ableton_Live_Remote_Script
Also discussed is the CNTRL:R to Drum rack MIDI Effect which is documented here:
http://wiki.lividinstruments.com/wiki/CNTRLR_To_Drum_Rack_Ableton_Live_Effect
Featured in the video is the Soundhack +delay VST plugin available (along with other great plugins) for free at http://www.soundhack.com

If you want to learn more about using the Max for Live step sequencers, those are covered in other videos on our youtube and vimeo channels.
