The Artemis - A Wind/String Instrument Inspired by the Ondes Martenot

Published on May 6, 2013 Mark Steiner·8 videos

"Inspired by the Ondes Martenot, the Artemis is a synthesizer whose pitch is mainly controlled by a ring attached to a loop of string.

It uses breath control for dynamics and combinable trill keys for discrete pitch changes. Using these together allow for some interesting musical approaches.

When I made this instrument, I decided to expose the loop on this instrument as it is interesting to watch as the pitch changes.

The sound and control core engine were made by Nyle Steiner (it is simply one of his early analog E.V.I.s.) The Artemis was completed in April of 2013. Thanks for watching!"

Synthrotek PT2399 Delay Pedal

Published on Apr 22, 2013 Christian Terjesen·8 videos

"I got this killer PCB from Synthrotek.com a couple weeks back and finally put it together. More mods and housing still to come but I thought I would enter the contest with what I've got thus far considering today is the deadline.

If anyone can help me with the popping sound when I turn the unit on that would be much appreciated! I am also having a hard time with the 555 timer mod on the website. There is not a lot of info on that and I would love to wire it up because I have the PCB populated.

Hope you like the video!

"This Virus Ti is fully functional. One of the best DSP-based VA digital synths I've ever played and I've owned an Arturia Origin and Solaris. The Fatar keyboard is the best I have ever felt for a semi weighted synth keyboard. Insane number of patches. There are plenty of user reviews on Vintage Synth Explorer, Sound on Sound, and YouTube. Reason for selling is that I'm thinning the heard and going all analog. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Virus Ti, here are the basics:

5 octave Fater keyboard with velocity and aftertouch
Multitimbral-16 part
Oscillators-3 Osc, one Sub Osc, Noise, FM, syncable
