"Browsing in the folder of this giant WAV / AIFF sound library just to give you a hint of how everything is sorted. The library costs $39 USD and contains the entire Fairlight CMI IIx library and much, much more. In total about 6,000 samples @ about 2,3 Gb of disk space. This works as a foundation for our refills Bitley™ OMNIA and the reknowned Bitley™ Fairlight Platinum.

Sampled instruments include: Fairlight CMI IIX, E-mu Emulator II, E-mu Emulator III, Roland JX8P, Roland JX10, Roland Jupiter 4, Roland D-50, Roland TR-505, 606, 707, 808 and 909. Prophet 1 and 5. Yamaha DX7. Yamaha TX81Z. Casio VZ1. Moog Minimoog. Casio CZ-5000. LinnDrum. Oberheim Matrix 6 and Matrix 12, DMX. Roland SH-101. Korg Trinity. Roland Juno 60 & 106. Wavestation. Prophet VS. Roland V-Synth. Yamaha DX7II. Roland TB-303. Roland S-550. Roland CR-68, CR-78. Casio RZ-1. Yamaha RX5.

The 'Samples for Anything' version is made to be used with just about any sampler out there; be it a hard or a soft option - E-mu E4K series, Native Instruments Kontakt, UVI, Korg ESX-1 etc etc. The pack of samples is also available for Reason 7. The complete sound libraries including patches are also available for Kontakt and Reason, respectively. All from our site.

For immediate release: Bitley presents Omnia

Omnia is the latest incarnation of Bitley's Fairlight-based sound banks, as developed from 2010 to present date. The first release in the Omnia series is Omnia Samples. This contains all of the wave files (samples), comprising 2,3 Gigabyte of data and nearly 6,000 individual samples. Omnia Samples is released in two versions: One raw wave version, which fits all samplers and sample players that can import AIFF and / or WAV files. This covers nearly all sampler instruments since many years back. The other version is made for Reason 7. Subsequent Omnia series releases for Reason will include things from Bitley's previous Fairlight II+, XXL and Platinum refills alongside with completely new patches as well as fixes and updates, new naming conventions and more focused categories. Fairlight Platinum will remain as the largest Bitley refill with its 3,600 instrument patches. There is also a Fairlight-based Kontakt library available which recently was updated (July 2013).

Bitley is a swedish maker of sound banks, programming hardware synthesizers as well as making software releases. The company started out in 2010 by releasing the sound banks Orlando JX10 and Fairlight CMI Legacy. Bitley's usage of the Fairlight samples is an agreement with Fairlight and Peter Vogel in Australia. Newer refills include The Prophet, O8, Flux, Poly Ensemble and more.

"This is the one you've been waiting for. I am the original owner of this Prophet 5 synth, with factory midi, rev 3.3. It's lived nearly it's entire life in my smoke-free home studio. I did use it in local studios for the first 6 months or so, but after that it's been in one location. I've never even removed the original plastic covering over the buttons. It's in pristine physical condition." Super clean SN 6240.

Abandoned Synths

"The story behind this is that a chap's parents evicted a tenant who then disappeared leaving this stuff behind. The lucky chap is a teacher who has kept this in his drama classroom for use as props not knowing its collectibility and value. Now he is trying to identify what he has and get it serviced or on to a good home that will fix up, preserve, and appreciate it..."

This made me wonder what ever happened to the gear at the New England Synth Museum when David Hillel Wilson passed away. I was fortunate enough to visit the collection once.  The site is still live: http://www.synthmuseum.com.

Update via Nicholas in The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge:

"From the lucky folks that found the stack:

"Hey guys, here's the end of this crazy story.

A friend set us up with another friend at Perfect Circuit Audio.
http://www.perfectcircuitaudio.com/

They collect, restore and resell vintage synths. He came over and we sawed open the crazy custom cabinet. It was secured with lots of bolts, braces, and wood glue, the original creator of this monster never intended to swap out or upgrade anything. The patch bay on top was all custom. However this kept the insides totally clean and nice. We agreed on a good price and he took all the units as-is. They are going to be restored and may end up in the showroom, where lots of folks can enjoy them, so that makes me happy!

Here's a few more pics of the disassembling:

Thanks to everyone's info and research, I feel we got a great price and it was cool to be in touch with a little bit of music history.

Cheers!""
