via Mike Vassallo on Friends of Synthesizers.com on Facebook

"just got my wendy carlos switched on bach 2 tattoo, i gave the artist a picture of my portable 22 to draw the modular out, obviously its quite hard to get that much detail in a smaller sized tat, but you can see a slight resemblance of the q106 in the top left!.."

"This listing is for a Novation K Station 25 key synthesizer and power cord. All functions have been tested to the best of my ability and are working. The only issue is that the program knob on the right side of the screen will skip values if its turned to quickly. If its turned slowly its works fine. This button doesn't really effect the use of the synth much as there is also a set of program buttons to the right of the screen and all of the major parameters are accessed from other knobs. The physical condition of this keyboard is good with only surface scratches and wear form normal use..."

Akai VX 90 Demo Video

Published on Aug 24, 2013 SyntheticMachines·30 videos

"This is a small demo from the AKAI VX 90. Actually a basic one-osc VCO synth ( 6 voices ), but with some special features like the PWM over all waveforms, FM, Chorus FX, Unison Modus this unit shines with a very nice analog sound. All sounds from the VX 90, exept the snare, rim and the short toms ( Roland TR-808 ), the HH and the clap are the drumatic 3 plugin. The bassdrum and the simmons-toms are made with the AKAI VX 90."

Roland TR-0815 (808-DIY-clone) & Spring Reverb

The cheapest way to get the original spring reverb effect - demosong

Published on Aug 24, 2013 stereoping·22 videos

"This video demonstrates an interesting and imho not so commonly known trick: the use of a bare spring reverb tank with a mixer-insert to get that great spring reverb quite cheap without additional electronics: connect one of your mixers send-outputs with the tanks input and plug the tanks output just into a mic-in of the mixer. Adjust levels. Now this mixerchannel supplies the 100% wet springreverb signal of all channels, which send something into the tank using the mixers send-pots. Play with the reverb channels EQ or insert an external EQ to shape the reverbs color. In the demosong i add and remove tracks and play them dry and with springreverb to show the benefit of real springreverb. I inserted a Vermona EQ to play around with the frequencies. Please use the videoplayers pause-button if screens go to fast for reading - but i guess you are clever enough for having figured that out on yourself. Features machines: FL-Studio, TR-0815 (808-DIY-clone) synced by midiclock running internal sequencer, Yamaha TX7, Microwave 1, Ensoniq ESQ-1, Roland JX8P, Line6 EchoPark on some voicesamples."

This is the first TR-0815 post.

TR-0815 drumsynth - audiodemo and Making Of

Published on Aug 25, 2013 stereoping·24 videos

"Video about the developement of my TR-808 DIY-Clone called TR-0815. While listening to some patterns of the finished machine you can have a look at some pictures of the inner parts and the making. All patterns are played by the TR-0815 with the internal stepsequencer, no midi here. Some of the features demonstrated in the audio are swing (0:49), flams (3:22), sequenced 'muted' (long/short) BassDrum (1:12) and Cowbell (0:24), sample/hold of digivoice (0:35 & 1:46), long decay of toms (2:39). If something is not sounding like 808 this might be the DigiVoice, one of the 2 voices i added to the clone because i had 2 triggerchannels left over. The DigiVoice can make some square-blibs, 8bit-noises, dirty Claps, broken Guiros and some sample/hold."

Prototype R.A. Moog 702 Percussion Synthesizer Module

The seller also has an R.A. Moog 701 Percussion Synthesizer Module listedpreviously posted here.

"This is an R.A.Moog "702 Percussion Synthesizer" module hand made by Bob Moog himself back in the late 60's...!

It was more than likely going to be built for Eric Siday, one of Moog's first customers, but it was never finished! It is still only half built... and as such isn't functioning to any degree.

This means I haven't been able to get it to make any sounds, and I don't have any video's to show (unlike the '701' module)

The 702 module was a 'prototype' and didn't ever get to the production stage. Not many were made - in fact there are even less of these on the planet than the ultra scarce 701 Drum module. There is however one in the "Museum of Music" in Paris.

Here is a link to more info and photo's of the Paris system...

http://olivier-grall.yusynth.net/Moog%20drum%20synth/page%252520moog%252520drum.html

I cannot call this *rare*... because that isn't an accurate description. It is basically a completely unobtainable one-off and a true piece of Moog history and obviously also analogue musical instrument history, which the price here reflects (...as a starting point)

Very vintage, very interesting, very collactable - but obviously sold 'as is'..."
