Next Generation Percussa AudioCubes Announced

via Percussa

"After spending a couple of years working on a wireless module, I'm very happy to announce the next generation AudioCubes.

You can now use 16 cubes wirelessly within a 30-50ft range without having to connect them with a cable regardless of how you use them (sensor, sender, receiver or topology). One cube acts as the wireless base station and stays connected with a cable.

The difference compared to the previous generation audiocubes is profound:
- Very high reliability and robustness of communication through custom designed and optimized wireless protocol
- Very fast boot up
- No loss in sensor resolution and great LED RGB data rate and response
- Freedom to move around with your cubes
- More cube interaction
- More potential use cases
- Easier to set up and less to remember

As from now, we'll only release new software applications for the wireless cubes, and we'll stop supporting software applications for the previous generation audiocubes."

Mixed Modular System and Arp 2600.
Main sound from the modular is the MacBeth Micromac producing bell tones.
ARP 2600 produces the "warbling" sounds.

Too Heavy for Breakfast

Published on Sep 6, 2013 Wein Glas·24 videos

"Time for some Industrial Noise, but caution: 'Too heavy for Breakfast' is not only the title of the song!

Instruments used were a Buchla 200e with Zerosum Inertia Tube Modulemodules. The sound of this modular synthesizer was mangled by a Ciat Lonbarde Cocoquantus, and a Ciat Lonbarde Sidrassi delivers some soothing sounds on top of all the heavy noises.

Enjoy the Noise!"

"Originally designed by DIY electronics guru Forrest Mims III as the "Stepped Tone Generator," the Atari Punk Console is one of the most famous and recognizable Lo-Fi synth circuits ever. Using a single 556 dual timer IC with minimal part count, the Atari Punk Console circuit is a solid, time-tested noise generator capable of outrageous Square wave madness!

The Atari Punk Console PCB is designed at Synthrotek and manufactured to high-quality specs in the USA!

Features

Use a 9V battery or an AC Adapter rated at 5-12V 200mA Center Negative polarity (adapter not included).
DC Jack allows for power switching so that battery power is only enabled when there is no AC Adapter plugged in.
CV input allows step sequencers and waveform generators to expand the sonic capabilities of the Atari Punk Console from drone to arpeggio-like dynamism.
Use any variable voltage source from 0-Supply Voltage for some glitchy goodness!
3 potentiometer controls Pulse, Width, and Frequency contour the tone while the Volume control sets your output just right.
The two-way switch powers the unit on or off.
Uses 1/4" instrument jacks."
