See the MMTA SYNTHFEST 2014 channel for all posts featuring this year's event.

Side note: if you are on a Mac and your mouse pointer disappears, click off screen to get it back. Based on what I can find out there I believe it is due to a bug with Flash on Mac. If anyone knows of a solution, let me know.

Update: I accidentally had the TTSH and Rhythm Wolf videos under the 2013 label. They have been updated with the 2014 label.  Be sure to see them if you haven't already!

A Trip To Berlin With Sequencer 1

Published on Sep 28, 2014 Audio Damage, Inc.

"A brief demonstration, starting with a blank pattern, and ending with a random repeating "Berlin School" pattern.

Patch is WMD PDO to DSI Curtis Filter to WMD Multimode VCA to Audio Damage DubJr to Circuit Abby Mixer. Amp envelope courtesy from Doepfer quad ADSR. All modulation coming from Sequencer 1.

(Note, since it will be asked: the digital noise in the patch, which is apparent if you listen in headphones, is due to fact that this is a programming rig, and is connected by un-isolated USB to a computer. The noise comes from the embedded programmer. I forgot to disconnect it before recording this. No big deal."

Control Voltages from the BBC news

Published on Sep 28, 2014 Richard Horsman

"Raspberry Pi wirelessly downloads all of the images from the BBC's UK news page then transmits the pixel colour and brightness data to a waiting Arduino microcontroller which triggers a pair of DACs to send two control voltages to a waiting modular synth. Sound ensues.

This is just version 1 of the software. Lots more ideas.. just wanted to get something out there.

Anyone with the contacts/facilities/skills/time/£ to help me to take this idea and turn it into a commercial suite of modules should get in touch with me at richyho at virginmedia dot com.

Big thanks to Chigs for the mounting panels.

Thanks for watching :-)"

Note the BOLDEN School NE35 9DZ engraved by the pitch stick.

"The unit was rescued from a school by a friend over a decade ago in a faulty state. I purchased with the intention of getting it repaired and 8 years later, it's finally ready to be used. The unit is cosmetically in a very good state - with the odd scratch here and there. The two slight imperfections on the unit are the school branding mark on the front and the replacement battery cover - which is in a slightly different shade of grey plastic to the rest and seems to stick out just a little.

Cosmetics aside, the unit is in *perfect* working order - and has around 10 weeks of warranty left on the recent repair.

Included is a Groove Electronics M2CV MIDI-CV converter and jack leads."

Petri Dish Romance - U-He Bazille Demo

"I was so inspired by Howard Scarr's latest patches for the virtual modular synth Bazille, that I decided to write some music with it. It's not surprising really, as this happens regularly when I start to explore Howard's stellar work! All the parts are Bazille, except for a couple of Logic drum loops."
