"Jest mi niezmiernie miło zaprezentować wam beatmaking demo nagrane na prototypie najnowszego syntezatora firmy Roland. JD-Xi czyli rewolucyjny instrument łączący ze sobą syntezę analogową oraz cyfrową, w zupełnie innym stylu niż dotychczas. Instrument udostępnia nam 4 sekcje: 2 z syntezą cyfrową, 1 z syntezą analogową oraz 1 z sekcją bitmaszyny. Dodatkowo wzbogacony został o intuicyjny i bardzo prosty w obsłudze sekwencer krokowy oraz Vocoder. Instrument brzmi zaskakująco dobrze, dynamicznie, przestrzennie, brzmienia świetnie kleją się w miksie i są wyjątkowo plastyczne. Co do samych presetów, programiści Rolanda mocno napracowali się nad tym żeby instrument doskonale odnalazł się w najnowszych trendach brzmieniowych. Znajdziemy tu świetnie zaprogramowane brzmienia do takich stylów jak: trap, hip hop, rnb, dubstep, oraz szeroko pojęta muzyka elektroniczna. Tu nie ma miejsca na przypadki! Jest to zdecydowanie świetny instrument, którego wszystkim mocno polecam!

"It's kinda funny that I haven't covered anything by Jean Jacques Perrey untill now. But there is a first time for everything and this time I am playing 'The rose and the cross' from the late 1960's.

I play the melody by hand on the SH-2000. The other parts run as a MIDI file that is controlling my Wersi Prisma DX-5 and Hohner GP-180 organs. The drums sounds are from a Roland RA-30."
