New Trogotronic m/669 Euro Module

Published on Aug 24, 2015 trogotronic

"Informational video and brief demonstration of the Trogotronic m/669 Euro Module."

Eurorack version of the 669. Details via Trogotronic:

"Analog Audio Artifacts: event-horizons of sonic singularities rendered in hyper-tonal arthropod spectra. Primal purpose for the m/669 Analog Euro-Module. With a presence more sickening than a platter of polonium sushi the m/669 is the most untamed sonic provocateur ever offered. With an eight input CV bank (7 of which are vactrol circuits) the deviant subhumans issue the new m/669 BossHog Module with a prehistoric grunt. Regard the feature list of this commanding analog obscenity with caution:

3 Oscillators
3 Master Oscillator Controls
3 Analog Audio Artifact Generators
1 Volume Control
3 Modulator Patches
4 Light Indicator Array
8 CV Inputs
7 Vactrol Circuits
Audio Signal Input for Unique Side-Chain or Solo FX Duties

From expansive leviathan drones that plumb the depths of heavy water reactors to mind-reading staccato glitch attack the sheer power of the m/669 BossHog Module’s sonic devastation is simply extraordinary. Yes, Virginia, m/669 BossHog Module can BOTH be the backdrop scenic drone AND an all analog rhythm section played in realtime via CV inputs. If the multimillion-dollar flying killbots had ears this would be the guiding beacon they obey."

Omenie Synth Collection : On-screen metronome

Published on Aug 24, 2015 Pi Synth

"A feature that went in today - an on-screen metronome, rendered underneath the waves display. This makes the system usable on tracks that kick off without drumming, or in fact those with only silence coming out of the sequencer. The metronome lets a player understand the tempo, where the 1-2-3 and 4 beats are, and very much increases the usability of the synth collection in a perfomance-plus-sequencer setting."

See this post for details on the Pi Synth Omenie.

Doug Lynner Live - μHausen 2015 - Becoming Zen About It

Published on Aug 24, 2015 Doug Lynner

"Electronic music composer/performer Doug Lynner plays 'Becoming Zen About It' at the 2015 μHausen Festival in Boulder Creek, CA on 8/16/15. The music plays off of the 100 degree temps and seeks to lead to a "cooling down" as the sounds morph through sizzle, fire and insects to a rich, undulating, soothing drone.

The patch used for 'Becoming Zen About It' is based upon the Patch of The Week "The Anatomy of a Drone at https://youtu.be/B2xr9Z36lrM .

"This keyboard works and sounds great! Sure, the built in FM sounds sound great and retro, but plug in a midi cable and you can control the synths on your laptop or your iPad/iPhone (with the rigth adaptors) while you walk around the stage or studio. I think this (rare) silver model looks less like a toy than the red versions. And, believe me, this is NOT a TOY!

They say that sitting too long is as bad for you as smoking too much. So stop sitting at your keyboard and start walking around while you play your favorite synths!

There is a minor blemish on one corner (see photos), but nothing that stops it from working great. It is missing the battery cover, but the batteries (not included) are securely in there even without it. (It of course works with an external power supply, not included.)

"Oberheim Xpander in perfect operational condition. professionally serviced at the end of April (by Retroactivesynth dot com) - passes all tuning procedures and plays and sounds amazing!

Cosmetically I'd rate this unit a B or B+. Not bad but certainly not a museum piece. It has several blemishes on the main control panel (which I've tried to highlight in the pictures) as well as many small scratches on the metal surrounds (the paint on the metal is very thin and comes away easily, for example with a fingernail - seems to be common enough on Xpanders). Also the wooden end cheeks have some dings and nicks on them. If you need further images or video please don't hesitate to message me and I'll send them on to you.

Switchable (stock) PSU so can run both 120 and 240 V."
